Abstract

254,451. Kennett, C. E. May 4, 1925. Ladders.-In a convertible long and step ladder of the type in which the hinge portions on the two ladder portions are provided with means to secure the ladder in the two positions, a platform 22 pivoted to the lowermost rung 23 on the upper ladder portion is adapted to be hooked to the top step 29 on the other ladder portion when used as a step ladder to provide an uninmpeded platform and to act as a stay to limit the spread. The hinge portions are provided with registering holes and arcuate slots for the reception of a pin for determining the two positions of the members.
