Abstract
254,380. McNish, A., and Glass Machinery Corporation, Ltd. March 31, 1925. Actuating - mechanism.-Cam mechanism for operating valves or other mechanisms, more particularly for valves in glass-moulding machines, comprises a pair of contiguous cam discs 8, 8<a> which are relatively adjustable, angularly, to vary the effective length of the cam surface, spring means 9, 10 being provided for holding the discs in the adjusted position. The adjacent surfaces of the discs may be serrated to ensure better engagement. The mechanism is shown applied in connection with a roller 6, slide 3<b>, and piston valve 3 for controlling the passage of compressed air from an inlet 2, through an axial and radial passage 4, 4a, to a lateral outlet passage in the casing 1.
