Abstract

Refrigerating; absorption machines for. - Vapour evolved from the generator - absorber A of a reversing system passes through a tube 2, fitted with a ball-valve, into a tube 1 and thence to the condenser-evaporators C, from which it returns through the same tube 1 and by way of an annular space between a sleeve 7 and the tube to the liquor space of the generator-absorber. The generator-absorber is provided with a cooling-coil 14 and a drain pipe extends thereto from the condensers. A single condenser-evaporator may be fitted. In another arrangement, the generatorabsorber is located within a furnace flue at the side of the generator-absorber. Instead of the sleeve 7 in the tube 1, a valve-seat 6, Fig. 1, having perforations 5 for the return of the vapour, may be used.
