BACKGROUND OF TilE INVENTION
The conventional screwdriver "A" is disclosed in Fig. I and generally comprises a grip "Al" and a round shank "A2" which is fixed to the grip "Al".
The round shank "A2" has a tip which can be a keystone tip, a Phillips head tip, a hexagonal tip and other known tip so as to tighten or loosen objects such as bolts.
Therefore, the user has to carry many different screwdrivers to work on different types of bolts.
The present invention intends to provide a screwdriver which has a replaceable tip so as to improve the drawbacks mentioned above.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a screwdriver and comprises a grip having at least one snap piece connected to the lower end thereof and the at least one snap piece has a hole. The grip has a recessed area and a room communicates with the recessed area. A round passage is defined in the grip and in communication between the room and a space. A connection nieniber is located in the space and has a protrusion which is engaged with the hole of the at least one snap piece. An adjustment member is connected to the lower end of the grip and mounted to the connection meinbet The adjustment member has at least one rib on the inside thereof A securing member is located in the room of the grip and has a polygonal securing hole. A cover is engaged with the recessed area of the grip. A bit is connected to the lower end of the grip and has a metal shank which has a work end and a fixing end on two ends thereof A coat made by isolation material is coated to the outside of the bit except for the work end. A stop is formed on the middle portion of the coat and a positioning groove is defined around the coat and located above the stop. The at least one rib of tile adjustnient member is engaged with the positioning groove. A round insertion section is formed on the bit and located above the positioning groove. The insertion section is inserted into the round passage of the grip and has a polygonal securing section which is engaged with the polygonal securing hole of the securing membet Preferably, the recessed area of the grip has an engaging groove defined in the periphery thereof; and the cover is engaged with the engaging groove.
Preferably, the securing member has multiple ridges extending from the outside thereof Preferably, multiple engaging blocks extend from the periphery thereof The prinmry object of the present invention is to provide a screwdriver wherein different bits can be easily replaced and firmly connected to the grip of the screwdriver.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken hi connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodinient in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring to Fig. 2, the screwdriver of the present invention comprises a grip I having a recessed area 10 defined in tile top thereof and the recessed area 10 has an engaging groove Ii defined in the periphery thereof A room 12 communicates with the recessed area 10. A round passage 13 is defined in the grip 1 and in communication between the room 12 and a space 14 which is located at tile lower end of tile round passage 13. Two snap pieces 15 are connected to the lower end of the grip 1 and each of the snap pieces 15 has a hole 16.
A connection member 2 is located in the space 14 and has a connection portion 20 which has an insertion hole 21 defined therein. An annular groove 22 is defined in the connection member 2 and located at the lower end of the insertion hole 21. Two protrusions 23 are located on the outside of the connection portion 20 and two guide slots 24 are defined in the connection portion 20. A flange 25 extends radially outward from the lower end of the connection member 2.
An adjustment member 3 is connected to the lower end of the grip 1 and mounted to the connection portion 20 of the connection member 2. The adjustment member 3 has a through hole 30 and two ribs 31 are located on the inside of the though hole 30.
A securing member 4 is located in the room 12 of the grip I and has a polygonal securing hole 40. The securing member 4 has multiple ridges 41 extending from the outside thereof A cover 5 is engaged with the recessed area 10 of the grip 1 and multiple engaging blocks 50 extend from the periphery of the cover 5.
A bit 6 is connected to the lower end of the grip I and has a metal shank 60.
The shank 60 has a work end 61 and a fixing end 62 on two ends thereof The work end 61 can be a keystone tip, a Phillips head tip, a hexagonal tip and other known tip. The fixing end 62 is a flat end. A coat 63 made by isolation material is coated to the outside of the bit 6 except for the work end 61. A stop 64 is formed on the middle portion of the coat 63 and a positioning groove 65 is defined around the coat 63 and located above the stop 64. The ribs 31 of the adjustment member 3 are engaged with the positioning groove 65. A round insertion section 66 is formed on the bit 6 and located above the positioning groove 65. The insertion section 66 is inserted into the round passage 13 of the grip 1. The insertion section 66 has a polygonal securing section 67 which is engaged with tile polygonal securing hole of the securing member 4.
As shown in Figs. 2 to 6, the securing member 4 is securely installed hi the room 12 by contacting the ridges 41 on the outside of the securing member 4 against the inside of the room 12, so that the securing member 4 does not drop from the room 12. The coverS is then securely engaged with the recessed area 10 by engaging the engaging blocks 50 with the engaging groove 11. The adjustment member 3 is mounted to the connection portion 20 of the connection member 2 and the ribs 3 1 are engaged with the guide slots 24. The connection member 2 and the adjustment member 3 are then connected to the lower end of the grip 1 to engage the connection portion 20 of the connection member 2 with the space 14 of the grip 1, and the protrusions 23 of the connection member 2 are engaged with the holes 16 of the grip 1. The adjustment member 3 is positioned by the flange 25 of the connection member 2 and the lower end face of the grip 1.
When installing a bit 6 to the grip 1, the insertion section 66 of the bit 6 is inserted into the insertion hole 2 I of the connection member 2 and the passage 13 of the grip I. The securing section 67 of the bit 6 is inserted into the securing hole 40 of the securing member 4. By the engagement between the polygonal securing section 67 of the bit 6 and the polygonal securing hole 40 of the securing member 4, and by the engagement between the ribs 31 and the positioning groove 65 of the bit 6, the bit 6 is secured to the lower end of the grip 1.
When replacing the bit 6, as shown in Figs, 5, and 7 to 9, the user rotates the adjustment member 3 on the connection member 2, the ribs 31 of the adjustment member 3 is guided and compressed by the surface of the guide slot 24 and moves outward as shown in Fig. 8. The ribs 3 1 are removed from the positioning groove 65 of the bit 6 50 that the bit 6 is no longer restricted by the ribs 31 of the adjustment member 3 aiid can be pulled out from the grip 1 as shown in Fig. 9. Therefore, a new bit 6 can be replaced by inserting the securing section 67 into the insertion hole 21 of the connection member 2 and the round passage 13 of tile grip I. The insertion section 66 of the bit 6 pushes the ribs 31 of the adjustment member 3 outward. When the securing section 67 is completely inserted into the securing hole 40 of the securing member 4, the positioning groove 65 of the tip 6 is located corresponding to the ribs 3 1 of the adjustment member 3. The ribs 3 bounce back and are engaged with the positioning groove 65 of the tip 6 as shown in Figs. S and 7. The new bit 6 is then secured to the lower end of the grip 1. The securing section 67 is securely inserted into the securing hole 40 of the securing member 4.
The replacement of the bit 6 is easy and quick, and the user simply carries one grip 1 to deal with different types of objects by using different bits 6. The engagement between the securing section 67 of the bit 6 and the securing hole 40 of the securing member 4 prevents the bit 6 from rotating in the grip so as to provide torque when being applied to an object.
While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled hi the art that ftirther embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
