Abstract

A urine guard for preventing urine splash on the rim and seat of a toilet pan and surrounding floor area during male urination. The urine guard comprises a hollow cylinder rolled from disposable fabrics such as paper tissue. The hollow tube has two open ends, wherein a penis is inserted into the top end when user is standing in use. The lower end of the cylinder is placed in the toilet pan. The urine flows downward along the hollow tube without splashing. After urination, the male discards the used urine guard inside the toilet where it is flushed away. The urine guard is made from flushable lightly moistened toilet paper. The urine guard may folded flat.

Description

Wet Urine Guard This invention relates to a device for avoiding male urine splash on toilet pan top rim, seat and surrounding floor area.
"The scope and claims for wet urine guard patent request is limited and specific to the use of flushable wet toilet paper as building fabric for the act of forming it into a hollow cylindrical tube, inside which a male can insert his penis and urinates" During urination when men are at standing up position, urine is discharged from penis as stream flow or as droplets falling down. Urine stream can commonly break to form droplets, and also the stream flow direction can change as bladder is emptied. In this situation it may be possible to aim for the centre of the toilet pan to avoid urine splash. However this targeting action is hard to achieve since any slight movement in body position can widely dived the direction of the urine stream and droplets. This would result in urine dropping on the toilet pan top side, seat or surrounding floor area and the consequence is urine splash around the toilet seat and floor area.
This leaves dirt marks and stains on the toilet top rim, seat, and floor area around the toilet pan. It is unhygienic and it could adversely impact on health of other users. It requires extra cleaning and it can also be embarrassing for the user.
To overcome these problems, the present invention proposes a wet urine guard preventing urine splash and soiling of a toilet pan (i.e. toilet seat top surface and toilet rim area), and floor around the toilet during male urination at upright position.
At urination, urine can commonly run down over testicles and drop on toilet pan seat area uncontrollably. In order to contain all possible splashes, wet urine guard can cover both penis and testicles. Below description quotes the use of wet urine guard with penis, however the same applies with use of this device with penis and testicles.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 where item A depicts penis and item B is wet urine guard which is subject of this patent. In figure 1 male is urinating at stand up position and wet urine guard is inserted around his penis from top. The bottom of wet urine guard is inside the toilet bowl.
Figure 2 shows the wet urine guard with two ends, top point A which is inserted around penis and bottom point B which goes into the toilet bowl.
Wet urine guard can be made from current commercially available flushable lightly moistened toilet paper, rolled to form a hollow cylinder with two open ends. Before use it can be stored as flat packed or any other suitable packing. For use it is opened up to form a hollow cylindrical tube with two openings at each end. The penis is inserted in point A and point B is dropped inside the toilet pan (Refer to figure 2).
As male urinates, with his hand(s) he holds the top end of the guard around his penis, so urine runs downward along the hollow tube into the toilet pan without splashing. The guard keeps urine inside the hollow tube from the point of urine release, i.e. point A in figure 2, running it down into the toilet bowl at point B in figure 2, so urine liquid is not poured on top of toilet seat area. After use it is removed from penis by hand and discarded into the toilet pan, where it is flushed off.
The wet urine guard maintains urine stream and droplets inside it at all times during urination. Accordingly urine liquid is contained inside the wet urine guard.
The wet urine guard size (i.e. diameter and length) can vary depending on the male height, penis and testicles sizes, and the elevation of the toilet pan. It can be made as small, medium, or large for varying sizes.
Additionally, if wet urine guard bottom end (point B, in figure 2) is located at the toilet bowl water surface, it cuts the embarrassing noise of urine hifting the water.

Claims (4)

  1. Claims 1. It is specific and limited to the use of flushable wet toilet paper as building fabric for the act of forming it into a hollow cylindrical tube, inside which a male can insert his penis and urinates. As such no claim is made neither for the fabric of flushable wet toilet paper, nor other ideas namely using fabrics to put on or roll around the penis to act as the urine guards.
  2. 2. The idea and concept of using the commercially available flushable lightly moistened toilet paper and making it to form hollow cylindrical tube (i.e. wet urine guard) to be urinated inside it, where urine liquid is contained within, thus preventing splash and soiling toilet facilities.
  3. 3. A wet urine guard which uses the fabric as in Claim 2 where it is rolled to form a hollow cylinder with two open ends where urinating male at upright position inserts his penis in the top opening and the bottom opening is dropped into the toilet pan.
  4. 4. A wet urine guard in which before use, it can be stored as flat packed or any other suitable packing, and for the use it is opened up to form a hollow cylindrical tube, and after use it is disposed and flushed down the toilet system.Amended claims have been filed as follows:-Claims 1. This is a novel idea of configuring the existing wet toilet paper (wet wipes) in a cylindrical shaped configuration acting as urine guard, since this item is fabricated to be strong to retain water at use, it can absorb and contain the flowing urine, and the urine will therefore not splash on the toilet areas except inside the pan.2. The guard of claim 1 which is made of flushable wet toilet paper and it is rolled to form a hollow cylindrical tube, inside which a male can insert his penis and urinates, thus preventing splash and soiling toilet facilities.3. The guard of claim 1 with two open ends where urinating male at upright position inserts his penis in the top opening and the bottom opening is dropped into the toilet pan.4. The guard of claim 1 which keeps urine stream and droplets inside it during urination without breaking. r
