Description

Arrangement of a Seat in an Interior of a Vehicle The invention relates to an arrangement of a seat in an interior of a vehicle according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
Such an arrangement of at least one seat in an interior of a vehicle can be found in US 2008/0284214 Al. In said arrangement the seat comprises at least one seat part and at least on backrest. The seat pad and the backrest are movable between at least one seating position and at least one non-use position in relation to each other. While moving the seat part and the backrest from the seating position into the non-use position the seat is movable from a lowered use position into a raised stowage position by means of a moving device. In the raised stowage position the seat is adjacent to a roof of the vehicle.
Moreover, the roof, the seat part, and the backrest overlap each other and form a horizontal layering in the raised stowage position.
JP 2002 104 040 shows a seat unit suspended from a guide rail mounted on an inner roof of a vehicle. The seat unit can be moved back and forth along the guide rail and be stowed in a roof part.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an arrangement of the previously mentioned kind, in which arrangement a particularly advantageous usability of the seat can be realized.
This object is solved by an arrangement having the features of patent claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments with expedient and non-trivial developments of the invention are indicated in the other patent claims.
In order to provide an arrangement indicated in the preamble of patent claim 1, in which arrangement a particularly advantageous usability of the seat can be realized, according to the present invention the arrangement comprises an attachment device by means of which the seat is attachable to a floor of the vehicle in the lowered use position. This means the seat can be locked to the floor in the lowered use position by means of the attachment device so that unintentional movements of the seat from the lowered use position into the raised stowage position can be avoided. Moreover, by moving the seat from the lowered use position into the raised stowage position while the backrest and the seat part are in the non-use position, additional luggage space can be created. Since the seat is arranged directly beneath the roof and raised from the floor in the stowage position in comparison with the use position, luggage and/or other goods to be conveyed by the vehicle can be arranged in the additional luggage base very easily since the luggage and/or the goods to be conveyed can be placed onto the floor. This means it is not necessary to place the luggage onto the seat.
Further advantages, features, and details of the invention derive from the following description of a preferred embodiment as well as from the drawings. The features and feature combinations previously mentioned in the description as well as the features and feature combinations mentioned in the following description of the figures and/or shown in the figures alone can be employed not only in the respective indicated combination but also in any other combination or taken alone without leaving the scope of the invention.
The drawings show in: Fig. 1 several schematic side views of an arrangement of a seat in an interior of a vehicle, the seat being moved from a use position into a stowage position in which the seat is adjacent to a roof of the vehicle and a seat part, a backrest, and the roof overlapping each other in forming a horizontal layering; Fig. 2a-b a schematic side view of an attachment device by means of which the seat is attachable to a floor of the vehicle in the use position; Fig. 3 several schematic front views of the seat being moved from the use position into the stowage position; Fig. 4a a schematic side view of the seat being in its stowage position; and Fig. 4b a schematic bottom view of the seat being in its stowage position.
In the figures the same elements or elements having the same functions are designated with the same reference sign.
Fig. 1 shows an arrangement 10 of a seat 12 in an interior 14 of a vehicle, in particular a passenger vehicle. For example, the seat 12 can be used as a second row seat or third row seat. The seat 12 comprises a seat part 16 having a seat cushion, the seat part 16 providing a seating surface 18. The seat 12 further comprises a backrest 20 providing a backrest surface 22. An occupant of the seat 12 can sit on the seating surface 18 and lean against the backrest surface 22.
The seat part 16 and the backrest 20 can be moved between at least one seating position and at least one non-use position in relation to each other. The backrest 20 is pivotably connected to the seat part 16 via lateral links 24 from which one lateral link 24 can be seen in Fig. 1. Fig. 1 also shows a floor 26 and a roof 29 of the vehicle. In Fig. 1 the seating position of the seat part 16 and the backrest 20 is designated with reference sign S. Moreover, the seat 12 is movable between a lowered use position U and a raised stowage position 0. In Fig. 1, the non-use position of the seat part 16 and the backrest 20 is designated with reference sign N. The arrangement 10 further comprises an attachment device 28 having lateral brackets from which one lateral bracket 30 can be seen in Fig. 1, the lateral brackets 30 being attached to the seat part 16. The attachment device 28 also comprises at least one attachment element in the form of a latch 32 shown in Fig. 2a and 2b. The latch 32 is movably, in particular pivotably mounted on the floor 26 and can be moved between at least one locking position shown in Fig. 2a and at least one release position shown in Fig. 2b. By means of the attachment device 28 the seat is attachable to the floor 26 of the vehicle in the lowered use position U. In the lowered use position U of the seat 12 and in the locking position of the latch 32, the bracket 30 engages the latch 32 so that the seat 12 is locked to the floor 26 by means of at least one form-fit connection. As can be seen from Fig. 2a and 2b, the latch 32 comprises two parts 34, 36 being movable towards and away from each other. In order to move the seat 12 from the lowered use position U into the raised stowage position 0 starting from the seating position S of the seat part 16 and the backrest 20, firstly, the seat part 16 and the backrest 20 are moved from the seating position S into the non-position N in such a way that the backrest 20 is folded flat onto the seat part 16 so that the backrest 20 covers the seat part 16 in the vertical direction of the vehicle towards the top at least partially.
Secondly, the latch 32 is pivoted from its locking position into its release position in such a way that the pads 34, 36 are pivoted away from each other thereby releasing the bracket 30. In order to move the latch 32 from the release position into the locking position the parts 34, 36 are pivoted towards each other. If the seat 12 is in its use position U and the latch 32 is pivoted into its locking position by pivoting the parts 34, 36 towards each other the bracket 30 is trapped by the parts 34, 36 and thereby locked to the floor 26.
The attachment device 28 comprises a spring element 37 being supported on the part 34 on the one side and on the part 36 on the other side. By pivoting the parts 34, 36 away from each other, the spring element 37 is loaded, in particular compressed. Thereby, a spring force is exerted from the spring element 37 on the parts 34, 36. If the parts 34, 36 being held in the release position are released, the spring element 37 can relax at least partially thereby pivoting the parts 34, 36 towards each other into the locking position of the latch 32. If the latch 32 is moved in its release position, the seat 12 is released so that the seat 12 can be moved from the lowered use position U into the raised stowage position 0 in the vertical direction of the vehicle towards the top.
The arrangement 10 comprises a moving device 38 by means of which the seat 12 can be moved from the lowered use position U into the raised stowage position 0 very easily and comfortably. The moving device 38 comprises two lateral flexible cable elements 40 from which one lateral cable element 40 can be seen in Fig. 1. On the one side the respective flexible cable element 40 is attached to the seat 12, in particular the seat part 16. On the other side the cable element 40 is attached to the roof 29 via a corresponding roller element 42. By means of the cable element 40 the seat 12 can be moved translationally from the lowered use position U into the raised stowage position 0 in the vertical direction of the vehicle towards the top while the seat part 16 and the backrest 20 are in the non-use position N. The seat 12 being in the raised stowage position 0 and the non-use position N is adjacent to the roof 29 of the vehicle, the roof 29, the seat part 16, and the backrest 20 overlapping each other and forming a horizontal layering in the raised stowage position 0 and the non-use position N. The roller element 42 serves for winding and unwinding the corresponding cable element 40, the roller element 42 being pivotably attached to the roof 29 about a rotation axis extending in the transverse direction of a vehicle.
Moreover, the moving device 38 comprises at least one spring element for driving the roller element 42 to wind the cable element 40 onto the roller element 42 when the seat 12 is moved from the lowered use position U into the raised stowage position 0 towards the roof 29. In other words, if the seat 12 is moved from the raised stowage position 0 into the lowered use position U, the cable element 40 is unwound from the roller element 42. Thereby, the spring element for driving the roller element 42 is loaded. Thereby, a force is exerted from the loaded spring element on the roller element 42. If the flexible cable element 40 is released, for example, in such a way that the cable element 40 is detached from the seat 12 or if the seat 12 is moved from its lowered use position U into its raised stowage position 0, the spring element can relax at least partially thereby driving the roller element 42 around its rotation axis. Thus, the cable element 40 is wound onto the roll element 42.
Fig. 3 shows the arrangement 10 in a front view so that both lateral cable elements 40, both links 24, both roller elements 42 and both brackets 30 can be seen. Moreover, it can be seen that the attachment device 28 comprises two lateral latches 32 for locking both brackets 30 to the floor 26 in the lowered use position U of the seat 12 and the locking position of the respective latch 32.
As can be seen from Fig. 4a and 4b, the attachment device 28 also comprises two locking elements in the form of L-shaped brackets 44. The brackets 44 are attached to the roof 29 and configured to lock the seat 12 in the raised stowage position 0 and the non-use position N to the root 29 by means of respective form-fit connections. This means the L-shaped brackets 44 are used to further restrain the seat 12 in the raised stowage position 0.
In the arrangement 10, the seat 12 can be stowed particularly advantageously in such a way that it is stacked to the roof 29. Thereby, additional luggage space 46 can be created. In order to create a particularly great additional luggage space, the brackets 30 are pivotably mounted on the seat part 16. Thus, the brackets 30 can be folded against a bottom side of the seat part 16.
Luggage and/or other goods to be convoyed can be arranged directly onto the floor 26 since the seat 12 is raised from the floor 26 in the raised stowage position C with comparison to the lowered use position U. Thus, a surface onto which the luggage and/or the goods to be conveyed are to be placed is lower to the ground in comparison with the lowered use position U in which the luggage and/or goods to be conveyed would need to be arranged on the back of the folded backrest 20. Said surface can be, for example, a surface of the floor 26.
