Abstract

251,024. Daniels, G. W. Jan. 24, 1925. Coil-tube appara.- tus.-Apparatus for cooling fluids comprises a chamber having its walls formed by a closely wound helical coil 1 through which a volatile refrigerant is passed, and its ends closed. by plates 4 so that the fluid e.g. brine which enters through a pipe 5 in one end plate passes out through the narrow openings formed between the coils. The width of these openings may be adjusted by bolts 4x. In modified forms two or more parallel coils may be used. Specification 11015/15 is referred to.
