Abstract

250,707. Lowen, C. G. Feb. 11, 1925. Card stands.-Relates to struts for supporting showeards, photographic frames &c. at any desired inclination and comprises a cardboard &c. strip A transversely creased, hinged &c. along lines 2, 3, 4 and bent as shown in Fig. 2, the portion 6 being secured by an adhesive to the showcard &c. 9 and the upper portion 7 slidably secured to the lower portion 1 by an eyelet 8 passed through a hole in the portion 7 and a slot 5 in the portion 1. The positions of the hole and slot may be reversed. In a modification the portion 6 is passed through two transverse slots in portion 1 or is inserted between the portion 1 and a transverse strip secured thereto. The part 6 may be provided with adhesive cloth or paper for attachment to the showcard &c., a hole being formed in the part 6 so that the cloth &c. may be rubbed down on the showcard. In a further modification the part 6 may be pivotally secured to the showcard &c. by an eyelet so as to support the showcard &c. on either its long or side wall.
