Clothes-pegs; clips. - Comprise a pair of separate jaws with bifurcated ends held together by a loop of resilient wire with its central part passing transversely through the bifurcations and with its ends bearing against their outside faces. The jaws b, Fig. 4, are cut away as at c to permit entry of the line into the recess d. Slots e, Fig. 2, are cut in the jaws for passage of the central part of the spring loops a, the ends f bearing on the outer faces of the jaws. The loops a may be of the form shown in the full lines, Fig. 4, or of that shown in the broken lines, and the ends f may enter shallow recesses in the jaws. In the form shown in Fig. 6, the loop passes through recesses h in the top portion of the jaws. In making the pegs, shaped blocks of wood or other suitable material are placed together and the loops a fitted. By sawing between the loops a along the lines g, a complete peg is cut off at each operation.
