Abstract

The invention comprises two rectangular containers / boxes B made of rubber material with four tabs C extending from the sides (two from each side), this is applicable to 5 doors cars. A clip (A, figure 1) connects the two boxes so that they may be folded with respect to each other when they are not required for use. Alternatively the invention may comprise of only one box B, this being suitable for 3 door vehicles. The invention is placed on the roof of the automobile, and the four/two tabs are tucked inside the automobile through the open door spaces (one tab for each door) before the doors are shut. Two elastic bands D, one vertical the other horizontal, are tightened across the boxes and attached on the opposite sides to clips E. The container on top of the roof is hence attached without the need for any other permanent or temporary fittings such as a roof rack. The two elastic bands pressurize the container in the middle allowing the driver to feel safe; the containers also are waterproof guaranteeing the perfect storage in any weather conditions.

Description

1
E-SPACE:
This invention relates to the limited amount of volume that cars offer to consumers. During the last years many car accessories manufacturers have designed different types of roof racks and inflatable/portable racks. The problem with these two products is that the first one presents few issues regarding the environmental impact, the 'ugly' design considering that it is welded on top of the car roof, and the considerably high costs of instalment; the second product is definitely cheaper and easy to attach/remove from the top of the car but yet it doesn't give the opportunity to the driver to store a considerable amount of volume, also it does not give the idea of safety due to its small design and it is considered faulty when it comes to waterproof ability.
E-Space is made of two rectangular containers/boxes of rubber material (B) with four tabs(C) extending from the sides (two from each side), this is applicable to 5 doors cars; it is foldable in the middle thanks to the attached clip (A). E-space for 3 doors cars consist in only one box (B).The product is placed on the roof of the automobile, and the four/two tabs(C) are tucked inside the automobile through the open door spaces (one tab for each door). The doors are then shut, thereby fastening with two elastic bands (D), one vertical the other horizontal, extracting the rolls (D) placed on the two sides and tightening on the opposite sides' clips (E).
The container on top of the roof is hence pressurized without the need for any other permanent or temporary fittings such as a roof rack. The two elastic bands pressurize the container in the middle allowing the driver to feel safe; they also are waterproof guaranteeing the perfect storage in any weather conditions.
Figure 3 shows that the elastic band rolls (D) are on top of the tabs (C) still on the same side.
Figure 1 shows how E-Space can be folded in the middle allowing any passenger to store the product in the boot or even inside the vehicle.
Figure 2 shows how E-Space looks from one lateral side.
Figure 4 shows how E-Space works for 3 doors cars.
Each tab (C) is made of waterproof leather material ending with velcro material that is then attached inside the car above the windows.
2
Advantages:
-Made of plastic material.
- Environmentally friendly.
- Durable for lifetime.
- After folded, it is easy to store in the boot without being bulky.
- Available in different sizes depending on the size of the car and number of doors.
- Extra room for storage.
- Safe thanks to 2 high resistance elastic bands.
- Water proof.
- Improves customers' ability to widen their choice.
- High speed resistant.

CLAIMS:
1. E-Space is made of two rectangular containers/boxes of rubber material with four tabs extending from the sides (two from each side), this is applicable to 5 doors cars; it is foldable in the middle thanks to the attached clip. E-space for 3 doors cars consist in only one box (B).The product is placed on the roof of the automobile, and the four/two tabs are tucked inside the automobile through the open door spaces (one tab for each door). The doors are then shut, thereby fastening with two elastic bands, one vertical the other horizontal, extracting the rolls placed on the two sides and tightening on the opposite sides' clips.
2. Two elastic bands, one vertical and one horizontal, the container to the roof of the automobile without the need for any other permanent or temporary fittings such as a roof rack.
3. The rubber material is the base of E-Space, it's is foldable in 2, it protects the car roof from heavy weights to be enclosed.
4. The /24 tabs are made of leather material; they are tucked inside the 4/2 car doors in order to get E-Space pressurized on the roof.
5. Velcro at the end of each tab that will attach inside the doors above the windows.
6. Two water proof elastic bands, one is rolled and attached on the horizontal side and the other is rolled and attached on the vertical side of the square.
7. The 2 sides without the elastic bands present 1 clip on each side.
