Abstract
A self assembly or fixed fully adjustable trolley which is a completely adaptable transom frame with individual through axle-legs configuration that gives added ground clearance for towing at least a kayak which can be completely dismantled or collapsed inwardly or outwardly for storage or inverted to be used as at least a back rest with rod-holder or outrigger and/or paddle facility's incorporated into the Prowler unit, whereby the quick release pneumatic wheels can be adapted for personal or other floatation aids. The trolley may comprise a horizontal element (figure 1) to which can be attached two leg axles (figure 2) which have a plurality of holes (5) so that they can be secured in a variety of positions when passed through holes (2) in the horizontal element. Quick release wheels are attached to the lower ends of the legs, said wheels possibly being turned inwards (figure 14) or removed for storage. The trolley is secured to the bottom of kayak when it is being transported (figure 17), and may be inverted and attached to the upper side so as to act as a backrest (figure 19) when the kayak is in use.
Description
Prowler Trolley
This present invention relates to a Kayak Trolley namely "Prowler".
There are various types of trolleys for kayaks and the like. Usually they are not adaptable or adjustable for use across the many conditions of shorelines, for example, sandy, rocky, stony or pebble strewn areas; with no reasonable clearance under the axle. These trolleys are not easily assembled or maintained nor are they designed to store easily; nor will they adapt for other uses.
It is the object of this invention to provide a Kayak Trolley or the like, that is designed to assemble and dismantle easily; and can be maintained easily. Will adjust and adapt easily to fit most Kayaks; and will negotiate most all kinds of shoreline conditions. Will fully dismantle and/or fold away for easy storage, and/or could be used as a back rest, or can be adapted for out-rigging or paddle and rod holders or can be adapted for personal floatation aids or to be used with at least a paddle outrigger.

1. Shows at least one design of this type of Prowler transom, whereby at least a box section transom provides sliding hole facility's 1-2 to allow axle-legs 2 to enter to swivel or slide and adjust therein to be secured with hand-wheel 6 at various of its locations through holes 1-3, whereby series of holes 1-4 will allow ties 4 to enter through to secure pad 3 thereon.
2. Shows at least one Prowler design of a leg-axle that will fit a transom as described at 1 whereby a corresponding hole of the series of threaded holes 2-5 can be located with hand-wheel 6 through hole 1-3 to secure the leg-axle 2 to its intended position, while R-pin 9 inserted through hole 2-6 with washer 10 will position the wheel 11 at this leg-axle location, secured thereon with axle-clip 12 through hole 2-7.
3. Shows at least one version of a pad in this instance is 22mm pipe insulating pad cut half round to accommodate to sit on top of the transom as described at 2, to fix upon the transom 1 with ties 4 through holes 1-4, to support and stop any chaffing of at least a Kayak hull.
4. Shows at least a version of a fixing tie to secure pads as described at 3, 5 and 7.
5. Shows a pad 3 atop transom 1 whereby ties 4 are threaded through holes 1-4 to secure thereon as described at 1 to 7.
6. Shows at least one version of a hand-wheel that will enter holes 1-3 through any preferred axel-leg thread holes 2-5 to secure the legs in the external or inward mode.
7. Shows at least one other version of a pad in this instance is 22mm pipe insulating pad cut round to accommodate to fit onto an axle-leg secured there with a tie 4, to support and stop the chaffing of at least a Kayak hull.
8. Shows at least one version of a Prowler frame with transom 1, axle-legs 2 and pad 3, as described herein.
