As shown in FIGS. 8-11, the first cutting portion 14 of the first cutter 10 is an elongate blade, and the second cutting portion 22 of the second cutter 5 20 is an elongate blade so that the shears function as a gardening cutting tool to shear a smaller or softer object, such as a leaf, flower or grass.
As shown in FIG. 12, the first cutting portion 14 of the first cutter 10 is an anvil, and the second cutting portion 22 of the second cutter 20 is a blade so that the shears function as a gardening cutting tool to shear a rough or hard 10 object, such as a larger branch.
Accordingly, the first pivot hole 21 of the second cutter 20 is pivotally connected with the first shaft hole 12 of the first cutter 10 by the first pivot set 60a, and the second pivot hole 32 of the driving arm 30 is pivotally connected with the second shaft hole 13 of the first cutter 10 by the second 15 pivot set 60b so that the second cutter 20 and the driving arm 30 are connected with the first cutter 10 respectively to evenly distribute an external shearing force applied on the shears during the cutting process so as to prevent the first pivot set 60a and the second pivot set 60b from being distorted or deformed due to a stress concentration. In addition, the external shearing force applied on 20 the shears is shared by the second cutter 20 and the driving arm 30 without incurring a stress concentration so that the second toothed rack 33 of the driving arm 30 meshes with the first toothed rack 24 of the second cutter 20
closely and exactly, and the second cutter 20 and the driving arm 30 are linked and operated smoothly and stably.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other 5 possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
