Abstract

A bicycle child carrier 20 with a plurality of elastic structures 30 is provided with a seat portion 21 for a child to sit in, a back portion 22 on a top of the seat portion 21 for the child to rest upon, a footrest portion 23 at a bottom of the seat portion 21. The elastic structures 30 are formed on the seat portion 21 and/or the back portion 22 and each include a notch 31, a connecting portion 32 between two ends of the notch 31 and connected to the seat portion 21, and an elastic portion 33 surrounded by the notch 31 and the connecting portion 32 and protruded from the seat portion 21. The elastic structures 30 are integrally formed on the seat 21 and/or back 22 of the bicycle child carrier to provide a cushion effect without using any extra back cushion or seat portion. The elastic structures 30 may nonetheless include holes (331, 332, figure 4a) for receiving projections (411, 421, figure 4a) on seat and/or back cushions (41, 42, figure 4a), thereby securing said cushions 41, 42 in place.

Description

BICYCLE CHILD CARRIER WITH A PLURALITY OF ELASTIC
STRUCTURES
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a bicycle child carrier, and more particularly to a bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures.
Description of the Prior Art
As shown in Fig. I, a conventional bicycle child carrier 10 is to be mounted on the rear of a bicycle for a child to sit in. However, this conventional bicycle child carrier 10 provides no comfort since it is not equipped with any cushion to make the child sitting in the bicycle child carrier comfortable.
The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
I 5 The primary object of the present invention is to provide a bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures, wherein the elastic structures are integrally formed on the seat of the bicycle child carrier to provide a cushion effect without using any extra back cushion or seat portion.
To achieve the above object, a bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures in accordance with the present invention, comprises: a seat portion for a child to sit in, a back portion on a top of the seat portion for the child to rest upon, a footrest portion at a bottom of the seat portion.
The elastic structures are formed on the seat portion or the back portion and each include a notch, a connecting portion between two ends of the notch and connected to the seat portion, and an elastic portion surrounded by the notch and the connecting portion and protruded from tile seat portion.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAW1NGS
Fig. I shows a conventional bicycle child carrier; Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures in accordance with the present invention; Fig. 3 is a cross sectional view of the bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures in accordance with the present invention; Fig. 4A is an exploded view showing that the bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures in accordance with the present invention is used in combination with a cushion assembly; Fig. 4B is an enlarged view of a part of Fig. 4A showing the elastic structure; Fig. 5 is an assembly view showing that the bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures in accordance with the present invention is used in combination with a cushion assembly; Fig. 6 is a cross sectional view showing that the bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures in accordance with the present invention is used in combination with a cushion assembly; and Fig. 7 is an enlarged cross sectional view showing that the bicycle child carrier with a plurality of elastic structures in accordance with the present invention is used in combination with a cushion assembly.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The present invention will be clearer from the following description when viewed together with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
Referring to Figs. 2 and 3, a bicycle child carrier 20 with a plurality of elastic structures 30 in accordance with the present invention comprises: a seat portion 21, a back portion 22 on the top of the seat portion 21, a footrest portion 23 at the bottom of the seat portion 21, and two armrest portions 24 at two sides of the backportion22.
Each of the elastic structures 30 is formed on the seat portion 21 and includes a notch 31, a connecting portion 32 which is located between two ends of the notch 31 and connected to the seat portion 21, and an elastic portion 33 surrounded by the notch 31 and the connecting portion 32. The elastic portion 33 is connected to the seat portion 21 via the connecting portion 32, which fUrther makes the elastic portion 33 flexible and deformable. In this embodiment, the notch 3 1 is C-shaped. The elastic portion 33 is formed with a first central hole 331 and protrudes a height H from the seat portion 21, and the height H ranges 0.5-1.5 cm.
On the back portion 22 are also formed a plurality of elastic structures 30 which are similar to the elastic structures 30 formed on the seat portion 21, except that each of the elastic structures 30 on the back portion 22 is fUrther formed with a plurality of second holes 332 surrounding the first central hole 331.
The footrest portion 23 includes two footrest chambers 231 for holding the child's feet and a gap 232 between the two footrest chambers 231.
The two armrest portions 24 are located at two sides of the back portion 22 for the child's arm to rest upon and each are formed with a plurality of apertures 241.
When a child sits in the bicycle child carrier 20, his/her hip and back will be supported by the elastic structures 30 located on the seat portion 21 and the back portion 22. Since the elastic portions 33 of the elastic structures 30 protrude out of the seat portion 21 and the back portion 22, and tile elastic portions 33 are elastic and deformable, which will provide a cushion effect, making the child feel more comfortable when sitting in the bicycle child carrieii Furthermore, the location of the elastic structures 30 can be adjusted as desired, for example. the elastic structures 30 cart be located on the seat portion 2 I or/and the back portion 22.
Referring then to Figs. 4-7, the bicycle child carrier 20 ftirther comprises a cushion assembly 40 which consists of two seat cushions 41, a back cushion 42 and two armrest cushions 43.
Each of the two seat cushions 41 is located on the seat portion 21 and formed with a plurality of protrusions 411 to fit into the first central hole 331 of the elastic portions 33 of the elastic structures 30 on the seat portion 21, so that the two seat cushions 41 are fixed to the seat portion 21 to improve seat comfort.
The back cushion 42 is formed on a surface thereof with a plurality of apertures 421 and protrusions 422, the protrusions 422 fit into the second holes 332 of the elastic structures 30 located on the back portion 22 of the bicycle child carrier 20, and the apertures 421 of the back cushion 42 are aligned with the first central holes 331 of the elastic structures 30 located on the back portion 22 of the bicycle child carrier 20 to provide a ventilation effect.
Each of the armrest cushions 43 is formed on a surface thereof with a plurality of protrusions 431 to fit into the apertures 24! of the two armrest portions 24 of the bicycle child carrier 20.
To summarize, the elastic structures 30 are integrally formed on the seat portion 21 and the back portion 22 of the bicyc!e child carrier 20 to provide a cushion effect and improve sitting comfort. Furthermore, since the elastic structures are integrally formed on the seat portion 2 I to serve as cushions, it doesn't need to use any extra cushions.
Whi!e we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it is clear to those skilled in the art that further einbodinients may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
