Abstract

A two-stroke internal combustion engine is disclosed which uses a four-stroke engine cylinder lubrication arrangement where the cylinder liner is provided with excess oil so that the cylinder is over lubricated and an oil scraper ring provided on a cylinder piston scrapes the excess oil back to the engine oil pan for reuse. The piston head may include at least one poppet valve for supplying air to the combustion chamber. This removes the need for intake and exhaust ports located in the cylinder liner.
