Abstract

A power supply arrangement allows electrical power to be supplied to more than one device at the same time. Electrical power is supplied to one or more sockets and that connect to multiple devices or appliances. The devices can connect to a single supply in a daisy chain. Multiple devices having their own power cord can operate through a single electrical connection. The arrangement can be used to supply kitchen devices such as a hob or oven 10, a splashback 11 and a cooker hood 12 all of whose power chords can be connected to a single connection.

Description

An Improved Power Supply Arrangement This invention relates to an improved power supply arrangement particularly but not exclusively for use in providing electrical power to more than one device, for example in a kitchen.
When new items are purchased for use in a kitchen or elsewhere, they are normally supplied with their own power cord with enables the device to draw electrical power from a suitable supply to enable it to function in the manner intended.
It will of course be appreciated that a number of devices are generally used for example in a kitchen environment simultaneously and each device will have its own power cord, which must be connected to a supply of electrical power to allow operation of the device.
The present applicants have realised that there is a demand for a power supply, which can operate in such a manner as to provide electrical power for more than one device simultaneously and thus for example a supply in which multiple power cords from a number of devices can be capable of operating through a single electrical connection.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a power supply arrangement, which enables multiple devices to be supplied with electrical power from a single source, said single source being a power connection for one of the devices only.
The connection can also be unobtrusive.
Thus and in accordance with the present invention there is provided an improved power supply arrangement to supply electrical power to which one or more sockets by which an electrical connection can be made, such arrangement being such that more than one device at any one time can be connectable said arrangement to multiple different devices.
It will be appreciated that with such an arrangement, electrical power can be supplied to a number of devices through a single connection to a single supply of electrical power.
It may even be possible for devices can be connected to the same supply using a daisy chain type of arrangement.
The invention will; now be described further by way of example only and with reference to the single figure of which shows a schematic-plan view of one arrangement of improved electrical supply in accordance with the present invention.
Referring now to the drawing there is shown in schematic form a representation of a device 10 such as a hob or oven arrangement, which has connected adjacent thereto a splash back 11 and a cooker hood 12. Each of these devices would normally be held in position by suitable fastener such as a screw and an electric connection is then disposed in the cooker hood to power the other devices by arranging for a suitable connection between the supply and any device having a power cord.
However, in the present arrangement there is a requirement only for a single connection to which each device can be connected to supply electrical power to enable the devices to work.
The connection that enables power to be supplied to multiple devises which is suitable form, which enables a required power supply to be provided to multiple devices. It is envisaged that such a connection will be made via the power cord supplied with reach device but in such manner in which all power cords connected to a single connection in
any suitable manner.
Thus, the present invention provides an improved power supply in which multiple devices can be con nected to a single electrical connection thereby reducing the size of the connection and preventing ugly connections visible on the wall surrounding the devises.
It will of course be appreciated that the invention is not intended to be restricted to the details of the above embodiment, which are described by way of example only.
The arrangement of the present invention is formed by the use of the arrangement to supply electrical power to more than one device, thereby creating the need for no more than one visible electrical connection.
