Abstract

A load indicator comprising a probe 18 adapted to be responsive to a load condition and to slide axially within a guide, and a display member 25 which extends axially from the probe and is constrained axially at its distal end so that it is deflected laterally by axial movement of the probe. The load indicator may be included within an overload detection assembly, and is suitable for use in the landing gear of aircraft.
