Abstract

248,910. Hair, N. B. Feb. 24, 1925. Feeding-devices for animals.-The container 1 of an automatic dry mash feeder for poultry is supported at an adjustable distance above its food tray by a stay 7 extending across the container of the feeder resting on a collar 8 that may be secured at any desired position along a rod 2 depending from a beam 4. The tray 17. which has an upwardly coned bottom 16, rests on a platform 19 that is hung by a hook 15 from the end of the rod 2. The fowls, jumping on the platform 19, rock the platform and the tray and cause the mash to fall into the tray. A net-work of wire 14 is arranged at the base of the container and holes 22 are provided in the lower part of the sides. Adjustable stops 20 limit the swing of the platform. A coned lid 11 is fitted that may be held up by a hook 13 while the container is being filled.
