Air tubes and chambers; jackets and covers.- A pneumatic tyre comprises an outer cover 1 having partitions 2 forming compartments in which are fitted a central tube 3 for use with low inflation pressure, and adapted to carry the greater part of the load, and side tubes 4 for use with relatively high inflation pressure. Tyre attachments to rims.-The tyre is shown attached to the rim 8 by transverse bolts, 9 passing through the base portions of the cover and through tubular passages 11 in the central tube 3. The passages 11 may be lined with vulcanite or like hard material 12.
