Abstract

A multi-tiered revolving storage and display unit 8 has a base (1), and a number of central stem modules (3). A revolving disc (5) fits over and rotates about each central stem module. Containers for food or other items are supported by hoop-shaped steel wire supports (7) which are attached to each revolving disc by locating an end or ends of the wire in a hole or holes provided in the disc. The unit may be up to ten tiers in height with up to twelve containers on each tier. The minimum capacity is two containers and the maximum is one hundred and twenty containers. The containers can be ceramic, glass, paper / card, plastics, metal foil, steel or aluminium and can be a standard item or specifically made to fit. One tier of the unit may hold T-lights to generate heat. The unit is easily assembled and disassembled without tools, and so the container layout can be easily altered. This unit saves space on a table or work surface.

Description

The Cooks Carousel Cabaret This invention relates to saving space on a table or work surface and containerising portions of food or other items.

In many commercial and domestic situations a table or work surface has not enough area for the required items or creative displays to be put upon it. If food is the item there is also the problem of time and maintaining heat.

The Cooks Carousel Cabaret is a multi-tiered storage and display unit up to ten tiers in height and up to twelve containers on each tier. The containers are held on appropriately shaped wires (figure 6). The vertical stem of the shaped wire slots into one or two of the 12 holes on the revolving disc (figure 5). The revolving disc fits over the central stem module (figure 3). Each revolving disc has independent movement and carries only its own load regardless of how many modules there are above it. This is the space saving as each tier saves the space it would occupy on a continuous surface. As any configuration of containers can be put on any tier, one configuration could hold a bank of I lights to generate heat.

The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 shows an example of a base plate, which can be made of any rigid material and any shape and style that is equal to the diameter of the containers it carries.

Figure 2 shows a universal base plate adaptor that can be fixed to any rigid material to comply with figure 1.
