Abstract

A light source is provided by a thin plate 1 which is semi or fully transparent and which has a number of canals or blind holes 3 provided on opposite sides of the plate 1 into which are placed LEDs 2. The LEDs 2 are chosen to be less than 4mm thick. A diffusion layer is provided by the use of regular white spots printed or carved into the surface of the plate 1. An optical film (7, fig 2) is provided on the plate 1. The whole light source may be less than 4mm thick.

Technical Field
This invention is a thin plat type of LED surface light source. The main features include big area of smooth and even luminescence and thin thickness of less than 4mm. It can be widely used in the fields where thin light source is required.
Background technology
At present, all the surface light sources are quite thick. The thickness of light body restricts the usage of lighting fixture and eliminate to a great extent on the places which cannot be damaged or dug, for example, walls, grounds, the places where do not have enough light source on the area.
The content of new utility module This technology provides a new utility module of thin plat light source. It has solved the difficult problems of both features of thin thickness and large area of surface light source.
This new utility module achieves the target via following technical plans: A thin plat type of LED surface light source, its features include: that it combines thin LED bulbs (Fig.1 & Fig.2 No.2) with transparent or semitransparent optical plat (Fig.1 & Fig.2 No.1). Thin LED bulbs (Fig.1 & Fig.2 No.2) are symmetrically inserted into the canals (Fig. 1 & Fig.2 No.3) on both edges (Fig.1 & Fig.2 No.3) of the plat; White spots are regularly printed or carved on one or both side of the plat (Fig. 2 No.1), light generated from LED bulbs is diffusely reflected by the white spots (Fig.2 No.1) and illuminate the plat surfaces smoothly and evenly.
The light sources are thin LED bulbs with thickness less than 4mm. (Fig. 3 (1)(2)(3)).
The thickness of LED bulbs do not exceed that of the thin plat, which is less than 4mm. LED bulbs are embeded in both edge of the transparent or semi-transparent plat and form a unity disk.
White spots (Fig.1 & 2 No.1) are regularly printed or carved on both surfaces of transparent or semi-transparent plat. Top surface of the plat is coated transmission film (Fig.2 No.7), bottom surface (Fig.2 No.5), all edges (Fig.1 No.6) are covered with reflaction film.
The advantageous effects of such plat LED light source provide new utility model of thin flat, pressureable, even and smooth surface light source.
