Description
DESCRIPTION
Mud &/or Muck Scraper -a hand tool This invention relates to cleaning mud &/or muck off all types of work boots, sports boots, walking boots and shoes, hiking boots and shoes, gardening boots and shoes, wellies, trainers, school shoes and any other foot wear or any item that has mud &/or muck on it or any item that needs mud &/or muck scraped off it with a hand tool (which shall be called the boot scraper) that is outlined below.
From my own experience the cleaning of muddy boots has always being difficult.
Most people, including myself, bang the boots together to remove the mud often covering ourselves in the mud we are trying to remove. I have also found scraping dog poo off footwear is often difficult, as is the cleaning of poo and muck from small animal cages. The boot scraper is designed to easily scrape off this mud &/or muck.
The head of the scraper (1) (which will be referred to as the tool in this description) will have a flat scraper (2) for the cleaning of mud and muck from broad open spaces and a pointed scraper (3) for the tight narrow spaces. The handle (4) will be of a width, depth and length that can be gripped by people of most ages. It is intended for anyone that needs to clean mud &/or muck off any item.
The boot scraper will be described using the diagrams on the attached sheet.
Side Elevation shows the length, height and thickness of the boot scraper.
Front Elevation shows the width and height of the tool.
Side Elevation -The total length of the boot scraper is 215mm. The diagram shows the handle (4) to the left and the tool (1) to the right. The handle is 24mm high for 140 mm then tapers down to 16mm high for the last 62mm to where the tool (1) is. The tool is 60 mm high and 3mm thick. The ends of the tool tapers to a point (5 & 6). On both sides of the handle there is writing. One side describing how to order a tool (7) and the other side stating where the tool is made. The handle (4) of the boot scraper is rounded and 12mm from the end of the handle there is a 16mm radius hole for hanging the boot scraper up or attaching an item to the boot scraper.
Front Elevation -The total height of the tool is 60mm and the maximum width of one end is 20mm (2). The last 3mm of this end tapers to a point (6). This part of the boot scraper (1) is for scraping the broad open spaces. The other end of the tool is narrower (2). It tapers from 20mm wide to 3mm wide over 17mm. This taper starts 20mm from the end. The last 3mm tapers to a point. This end of the tool (2) is for scraping the tight narrow spaces.
Section A-A -Shows a cross section of the handle (4). This is an I-section with rounded edges. The size of the section is 24mm by 16mm. The thickness of all flanges and web is 3mm.
The tool can be made from a polypropylene or a polycarbonate. The colours can be varied.
