Abstract

A sealed dispensing cap for a container such as a jar, the cap comprises a rotating dish to dispense measured amounts of a substance contained within the container whilst preventing air from entering the container. The cap may seal the contents, such as coffee from air and may comprise a rotating dish, having a hole and a tube extending from the hole, fitted into a static dish, having a hole, inserted into the neck of the jar. The lid may have a tube and may rotate the dish and hold a measure of the contents when upside down. When the lid is closed all holes line up, if the jar is turned upside down the tubes are filled, by turning the lid one half turn to undo the jar the rotating dish turns sealing the main contents of the jar and the measure of substance.

Description

Sealed dispensing cap
Background
Coffee in ajar will evaporate its flavour when continually opened
Statement of invention
To overcome air contact with the jar contents, by using a rotating dishlseal.
Advantages The content will be fresher to the last serving and easier to dispense.
Introduction to drawings
The description will refer to 7 drawings 1 and 2 showing the new part of the lid assembly. 3 and 4 showing lid and assembly.
and 6 showing the assembled jar and seals. 7 shows 3D image.
Detailed description
Sealed dispensing cap This invention will allow the coffee to be dispensed one measure at a time and keep air from the main contents.
Into the neck of a jar is inserted a plastic dish, with a hole in its base to one side. The dish has a retaining lip around its top edge and sealed to the jar 1/7A. sheet 1/7 The lip is to retain a second dish that fits into the first dish with a corresponding hole to the first dish. This hole has a tube rising to the top of the dish. sheet 2/7 The lid has a plastic tube in the corresponding position and latgerto flt over the tube on dish 2/7. sheet 3/7 The first dish 1/7 is inserted into the second dish 2/7 ad together inserted into the neck of the jar. Sheet 4/7 Sheet 5/7 shows the finished assembly.
Sheet 6/7 shows the seals When the lid is closed all holes line up, by turning the lid one half turn to undo the jar, the second dish turns sealing the contents of the jar.
If the jar is turned upside down the tube in dish 2/7 is filled.
Keeping the jar upside down turn the cap one half turn, sealing the main contents. Lift the jar away and a measure of coffee is in the cap, Reversing the procedure to close the jar and / or another serving. /

Claims (4)

  1. Claims 1 To over come air contact with the jar contents by using 2 dishes inserted into the neck of the jar.
  2. 2 The cap will turn a tube on the second dish to seal the jar 3 If upside down the cap will retain a measure of the contents.4 The cap full of coffee can be put into the cup Amendment to the claims have been filed as follows I To over come air contact with a jars contents by using 2 dishes inserted into the jars neck.2 Both dishes have a hole in the base offset to one side, the second dish fits inside the first and if rotated 180 degrees will seal the hole in the first dish. This second dish has a tube around its hole rising to the top of its outer edge.
  3. 3 The lid will engage with the rising tube, and when turned 180 degrees will put the holes in either the * * *.: open or closed position. When closed the holes are together.
  4. 4 Turn the jar upside down and the contents fall into * the lid through the 2 holes. Then turn the lid to open the jar moving the 2 holes to opposite sides *:..: sealing the jar but retaining a measure in the lid.
