Abstract

A disposable toilet seat cover comprises a rectangular, annular, semi-annular, funnel-shaped or semi funnel-shaped configuration. The cover is made from tissue and adapted to be placed upon a toilet seat in order to provide a clean surface upon which a user may sit. After use, the cover can be put into the toilet bowl and flushed away.

Description

PATENT SPECIFICATION
The DCS
Description
This invention is a product I call the DCS. The name "DCS" is an abbreviation for Disposable Clean Seat. The DCS gives the user what is essentially a clean seat to sit on when visiting a toilet and the toilet seat is found to be wet from other people's urine, smeared excrement, vomit, blood, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, owner's neglect or other unhygienic waste after their use.
The DCS, while made of toilet paper material, is made to the same shape of, though slightly larger than, the average toilet seat to enable it to cover, to the degree necessary according to the version, the top face of the toilet seat.
The toilet paper material feature of the DCS means that any moisture encountered helps prevent the DCS from slipping out of place and that the DCS can be disposed of after use down the well of the toilet.
Background
When people use a toilet they often do so in several different ways and for different reasons that, after use of the toilet, may mean vomit, urine and excrement, among other things (eg drug abuse, alcohol, blood etc.) can sometimes be found smeared about the toilet seat. This becomes a big problem for other users who may fmd themselves desperately in need of the toilet but are faced with having to clean the toilet before use.
Statement of Invention
To overcome this problem, the present invention; the "DCS", is a disposable toilet seat cover made from toilet tissue material which, when placed over a suspect toilet seat, provides a temporary "clean" seat for a person, the toilet user, to sit on and make immediate use of the toilet for urination or excretion. After use, the DCS can be disposed of in the toilet well and flushed away.
The DCS is a disposable toilet seat cover that has five versions: The DCS1; The DCS Plus; The OCS Semi; The DCS Semi Plus; and, the DCS Basic.
* ::: :* All versions work in the same primary way: helping the toilet user avoid placing the skin of the bottom and thighs directly on to the toilet seat during seated urination and/or excretion.

The DCS1 is an almost oval in shape version, which, when used, covers the top face of the toilet seat.
The DCS Plus is a funnelled version of the Clean Seat which, when used, covers the top face of the toilet seat, and extends itself inwards from toilet seat and down into the toilet well. It has a cone like shaped extension with a narrowed but open ended bottom.
The funnel feature has a secondary purpose of helping avoid splash backs from excrement.
The DCS Semi is a version which, when used, covers more than two thirds of the toilet seat in an almost closed "C" shape. It's appearance associates itself with the disabled toilet seat.
The DCS Semi Plus is a version which, when used, covers more than two thirds of the toilet seat in an almost closed "C" shape. The semi-funnelled (i.e. a vertically bi-sected cone in shape forming a half cone) feature extends into the well of the toilet from the * rear.
The semi-funnelled feature has a secondary purpose of helping avoid splash backs from excrement.
The DCS Basic is a version, rectangular in shape, disposable toilet seat cover. It has a perforated tear line from the front middle leading down the centre all the way to the back of the sheet. it is intended to be torn backwards along the perforated line as far as necessary before placing on top of the toilet seat. When used, it covers more than two thirds of the toilet seat.
Advantages The DCS is a disposable toilet seat cover made of toilet tissue material that is slightly/just larger than a toilet seat to enable overlap of the material with the toilet seat.
When placed on top of a toilet seat, the DCS helps a person, the toilet user, avoid placing the skin of the bottom and thighs directly on to the toilet seat during seated urination and/or excretion. After use, the DCS can be disposed of by flushing down the toilet.
If a person discovers a toilet seat that is wet with other people's e.g. urine, the person can use toilet tissue to wipe the toilet seat before placing the DCS on to the toilet seat for use.
If, in those circumstances, there is no toilet tissue, the DCS can be used to wipe down the toilet seat, discarded into the toilet well and a fresh DCS can be placed on top of the toilet seat to enable immediate use of the toilet. * . * * S * ..

If a person discovers a toilet seat that has other people's e.g. excrement smeared about the toilet seat, if the toilet seat surface is dry, the person can place the DCS directly on the top of the toilet seat and use the toilet immediately.
