Abstract

A pillow for supporting a pregnant woman or a baby during feeding. The pillow has a cutout 3 and an extended part 6. During pregnancy, the pillow can be placed around the side of the neck with the extended part laying across the body. After birth, the pillow would be placed around the stomach for feeding the baby and the extended part used to support the baby's body and head. The material can be versatile and adapt to cost and preference i.e. stretch cotton, fur, pattern or colour. The pillow is filled with loose stuffing to help mould around the baby and parent. Binding is used to secure the seams inside the pillow and out.

Description

Descrintion This invention relates to items used to promote safety and comfort during pregnancy and feeding your baby.
Mothers and fathers can suffer from back problems and tiredness during the bottle-feeding process of the baby and during pregnancy; finding the right position to be comfortable in can be frustrating and lead to back problems.
According to the market items have been designed to help just one of the problems. This pillow is designed to accommodate comfort, adaptability, security and safety during and after pregnancy.
The item can be machine-washed and is small enough to go into a standard size washing machine.
Figure 1,2 and 3 refer to the drawings on page 2 This item figure 1 saves on material, space and the environment by how many uses it has.
Figure 1 shows a birds eye view of the pillow with the arched shape for around the neck or the stomach and the extended length for comfort.
Figure 2 shows the side view with the arched shape Figure) shows the opposite side to figure 2 Figure 1 shows the full-length view of the pillow: The width unit 2 and 7, arch unit 3 and the length unit I can be adjusted in small, medium and large to accommodate a parent's size and height.
The material can be adapted by cost: offering pattern, colour and different fibres i.e. cotton, fur, stretch cotton (containing elastane).

Claims (6)

  1. I. a pillow designed to promote comfort for mother/father and baby during bottle-feeding. The arched shape figure 1 unit 3 is placed around the stomach in a sitting position for security and the extended part of the pillow coming out either left or right to support the baby's body and head.
  2. 2. A pillow designed also to help women during pregnancy. Figure 1 unit 3 would be placed around the side of the neck and the extended part would support the body, making it more comfortable while sitting or lying down.
  3. 3. A pillow according to claim 1 and 2 that contains loose stuffing to promote movement and adaptability.
  4. 4. A pillow according to claim I and 2 that has binding either side of the pillow to secure the seams: thus promoting safety from contents being emptied and comfort all the way round the pillow due to no fastenings getting in the way.
  5. 5. A pillow according to claim I and 2 that is made to be versatile with the fabric: adapting to cost i.e. Cotton, Elastane/cotton, fur, colour and texture.
