Abstract

A condensation tray for a window, the tray having a channel and a tube passing through the window frame to the exterior of the building. The condensation tray channel may have three faces - one approx. 2.5 cm in depth (Fig 1), a middle section in the form of a "N" shape (Fig 2) and a rear face (Fig 3) attached to the window frame and approx. 2cm in depth. The rear face can be secured in place using an industrial adhesive strip. In the centre of the rear face there may be a drill hole of approx. 8mm and a circular PVC tube inserted into the drill hole with silicone around the circumference of the PVC tube to prevent water going into the cavity of the frame and to ensure a smooth flow of drainage water to the exterior of the property and the outside elements. The length of the condensation tray would ultimately depend on the side of the window frame.

Description

DESCRIPTION
THE CONDENSATION TRAYS ARE A PVC SOLUTION TO THE DRAINAGE OF
CONDENSATION OF WINDOWS AND FRAMES AND WINDOW SILLS
A COMPLETE DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN THE FORM OF A DRAINAGE TRAY
SITUATED ON THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW FRAME AND/OR WINDOW
SILLS DEPENDING ON THE STYLE TO CATCH THE WATER AND DRAIN IT
INTO THE OUTSIDE ELEMENTS WITH THE USE OF A TUBE GOING
THROUGH THE FRAME TO ENSURE NO WATER GOES INTO THE WALL
CAVITY AND STRUCTURE
THE TRAYS ARE SILICONE SEALED TO THE WINDOW FRAME AND/OR THE
SILLS AND ARE CUT TO SIZE WITH DETATCHABLE PVC ENDS
EACH CONDENSATiON TRAY IS FITTED WITH A VERY SLIGHT MID
DOWNWARD GRADUAL ANGLE TO ENSURE COMPLETE DRAINAGE OF
ANY CONDENSATION/WATER
