Abstract
A light emitting diode (LED) lamp 10 comprising an amber LED 12, three cool white LEDs 14, a reflector 16 and a mid beam lens 18. The three white LEDs 14 are equally spaced around the amber LED 12. The reflector 16 comprises a central reflector section 22 and three peripheral reflector sections 24. Each peripheral reflector section 24 comprises a frusto-circular-conical shaped cavity wall 26 having a cut out section 26a where it meets the central reflector section 22. The cavity wall 26 is curved in the direction from the front face of the reflector 16a to the base 28. The central reflector section 22 has a frusto-circular-conical shaped cavity wall 32 with three cut out sections extending from its mid-depth to the open end where it meets the peripheral reflector sections 24. When the amber light reaches the upper section of the central reflector section 22 it spreads outwards into the peripheral reflector sections 24 and mixes with the cool white light to form warm white light.
