Trawling-gear.-The ground rope F, Fig. 1, is connected to an eye C swivel-mounted in a stopper B having a collar engaging an iron or steel ring A having diametrically opposite lugs I connected by pennants G to the back of the otter-board. A bridle E is connected to a second eye C swivel-mounted at the opposite end of the stopper. The opposite end of the bridle is connected to the towing warp. The engaging surfaces of the ring and stopper are formed smooth to allow rotation of the stopper as a whole. In a modification, Fig. 3, the swivelled eye-bolt C, to which the rope F is attached, passes right through the stopper B and through a cross-head H<1>, to which is hinged a shank D<1> forming an attachment for the bridle E. In another modification only the ground rope attachment is swivelled. Specifications 209,032 and 210,396 are referred to.
