Description

SPECI FICATION
FINANCE EVENT ANALYSIS SUPPORTING APPARATUS, FINANCE
EVENT ANALYSIS SUPPORTING SYSTEM AND PROGRAM
TECHNICAL FIELD
1] The present invention relates to a technology for providing a tool which enables us to easily perform an analysis of an information in a financial business
field.
BACKGROUND ART
2] People engaging in financial/security industries and investors gather information on a firm's finance (which is an act to change funds or capital performed by an organization such as a firmetc.) The information is multilaterally analyzed and used for offering proposals or suggestions on the capital policy etc. to the relevant firm or other firms, or for deciding whether an investment should be made or not. Generally, a financial information is composed of a number of events (events at specific times such as a specific date) and is huge in volume, so that a large volume of work is required in collecting and managing them, thus being inconvenient. Accordingly, there is known a finance event analysis supporting apparatus which acquires data of the event of a finance (hereinafter called as a
"finance event" in this specification) stored in a
database and then displays the acquired data on a terminal (for example, Patent Document 1: Republished Japanese translations of PCT international publication for patent application Saihyo 2004 / 010359) . People in security business and investors conduct an analysis of the finance events displayed on the terminal screen.
And, from the result of the analysis, they predict a future business climate or share price of the firm and provide the relevant firm and other firms with proposals or suggestions on the capital policy etc. or they make an investment or offer financial/security products (hereinafter "investment banking services" is used as a generic term for these services)
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION
3] However, in the database of the Patent Document 1, each finance event is stored separately by firm or by organization analogous to a firm, so that a specific finance event of the firm or the organization analogous to a firm is only displayed on the terminal screen of the finance event analysis supporting apparatus of the above mentioned Patent Document 1. Accordingly, it is difficult for a user of the device of the above mentioned Patent Document 1 to grasp the regularity of a plurality of finance events or the relevancy between each information and to derive an accurate result from an analysis based on this grasp. Accordingly, it is difficult for the user to predict a possible future finance event, business climate or share price.
Therefore it is difficult for the user to form a high-value information useful for the investment banking services, thus being inconvenient.

3] Fig. 4 is a view showing an image of an article data recorded in the article data sever 5. As shown in Fig. 4, the article data forms an article data group 51 having the name of newspaper or news agency who placed or sent out the news article, the placing date or posting date and time, the title of the article, the body of the article, etc. In order to make it easy to search a finance event-relating article data, as shown in Fig. 4, a "stock code (which is used when transaction is performed)" of the article-relating stock or bond is preferably assigned to each article data.
[0044) Figs. 5A and 5B illustrate a flowchart showing processing procedures of the finance event analysis supporting system of the present embodiment.
Hereinafter the details of the processing of the finance event analysis supporting system will be described based on the flowchart.
10045] At first, the user of the client terminal 7 displays the search page to search for a finance event on the web browser 8 of the relevant client terminal 7.
A plurality of searching pages is prepared. And these pages are selected by a selection button (characters on the button represent a function of the button) at the far left of the page in accordance with the purpose of the user.
6] Fig. 6 is an image view of one example of the search page. This search page 81 is displayed when the finance event of a specific firm is searched (this case is refereed to "case 1") . In the search page 81, there is an issuer input column 81a into which firms name that is an issuer of a stock or bond is input and a code input column 81b into which stock code of the issuer is input.
The user of the client terminal 7 inputs either a firm' s name into the issuer input column 8la or inputs a stock code into the code input column 81b. When a search execution button 81c is clicked (Step Si), the event acquiring section 14 of the analysis supporting apparatus 1 searches the finance database server 3 for a table (bond table 31, stock event table 32,... etc.) corresponding to the searching condition. It there is a record corresponding to the searching condition, the acquiring section acquires the record (Step S2) . In a case where the search is performed under different conditions, another search page is displayed on the web browser 8 at the step Si, and another condition (for example, a target kind or a displaying time period etc. of a finance event) is input on the displayed search page, then the search button is clicked.
7] As for the contents of concrete processing at Step S2, for example in "case 1" where "00 Industry" or "00 Industry Kabushiki Kaisha" is input into the issuer input column 81a. of the search page 81, the event acquiring section 14 acquires a record of entity which relates to the "00 Industry Kabushiki Kaisha" such as a record having an. issuer name of "00 Industry Kabushiki Kaisha" in the bond table 31, a record having an issuer name of "00 Industry Kabushiki Kaisha" in the stock event table 32, a record having an issuer name of "00 Industry Kabushiki Kaisha" in the classified stock table (not shown), a record having an issuer name of "00 Industry Kabushiki Kaisha" in the share warrant table (not shown)... etc. [0048J When a "bond redemption" is designated as a target finance event from another search page (not shown) (hereinafter this case is refereed to "case 2") , the event acquiring section 14 acquires a relevant record from the bond table 31.
9] On the other hand, when the procedure of Step Si is performed, the event acquiring section 14 of the analysis supporting apparatus 1 searches the article data group 51 of the article database server 5 for the relevant article data. If the relevant data is found, the event acquiring section 14 acquires the data (Step S3) . In particular, for example in "case 1" and "case 2", the event acquiring section 14 acquires an article data relating to "00 Industry". At this time, the search conditions executed by the event acquiring sectionl4 are considered to be an article data including "00 Industry" in the article body and article's title or an article data having a stock code of "00 Industry" when the stock code is included in an item of the article database server 5.
0] When the search and acquiring of the data is completed, the data compiling section 15 compiles the acquired data into a multiple year calendar table (Step S4) [0051] Specifically, selecting/sorting section 15a selects and acquires data (data of "redemption date", "issuing date" in bond table 31, data of "new listed date" in stock event table 32 etc.) of a prescribed items from the table of acquired entity, and acquired data are sorted by one month unit. For example, concerning the data acquired from the bond table 31 or the stock event table 32 in "case 1", the selecting/sorting section iSa acquires data (2002. 4. 16) of "(stock split) issue resolution date", data (2002. 6. 30) of "(stock split) of allotment date" and data (2002. 8. 15) of "(stock split) effective date" and they are sorted into a data ) of April 2002, June 2002 and August 2002 respectively.
The selecting/sorting section 15a acquires other data, sorts them and gives all sorted data to the container section l5b in a similar way mentioned above.
2] The container section 15b forms a table having rectangular cells arranged in a matrix-like manner.
The formed cell constitutes a display region of data for one month. The container section 15b disposes the data given from the selecting/sorting section 15a into the relevant cell. For example, in a case where data acquired from the bond table 31 or stock event table 32 are sorted in "case 1", cells for 5 years (60 cells) are prepared and then data of "issue resolution date" is put into the cell of April 2002, "date of allotment" is put into the cell of June 2002 and "effective date" is put into the cell of August 2002. And to complete the table, the container section 15b puts other data given from the selecting/sorting section 15a into the relevant cells.
3] The container section 15b forms the multiple year calendar table as the compiled result (a completed table) on the web page and sends the table back to the web browser 8 and displays the table on the web browser 8.
[0054) Fig. 7 is a view showing an image diagram of the multiple yearcalendar table displayed on the web browser 8. The event display region 82a of the multiple year calendar table 82 in Fig. 7 is formed with 60 cells arranged in a matrix manner of 5 rows (In "case 1", the number of years designated is 5 years, and the number of years is variable according to the request from the client, and therefore the number of years is not constantly limited to 5 rows) x 12 columns. These cells are arranged on the short-time coordinate (in the column direction) for which one month is set as one unit (one column corresponds to one month) (January to December) and the long-time coordinate (in the row direction) for which one year is set as one unit (one row corresponds to one year.) . As the results of the processing in "case 1" at the step S3 and S4 mentioned above, 5 years worth of finance event (January 2002 to December 2006) of "00 Industry" are shown as character data in the cells of the event display region 82a. For example, in the cell 82c of April 2002, in the cell 82d of June 2002 and in the cell of 82e of August 2002, characters "stock: resolution" indicating "issue resolution date", characters "stock: allotment" indicating "date of allotment" and characters "stock: stock split effective" indicating "effective date" are displayed respectively. In other cells, characters as a result of the processing at steps S3, S4 are indicated.
5] Using this multiple year calendar table 82, a finance event can be displayed on the client terminal ) 7 on a year/month basis. Therefore, the user of the client terminal 7 can overview the finance event at an yearly-monthly intervals from a long-term viewpoint.
