Abstract

A bicycle stand which can be fastened to a solid vertical surface having a folding and extending arm which may be locked in position and a detachable clamp which may be attached to the bicycle before lifting it onto the stand. The bicycle can be held in any desired position allowing full access to all parts. Preferably the clamp has full 360 degree rotation. The clamp may be attached to any part of the bicycle frame or seat post. The stand may provide extreme stability by virtue of being mounted to a vertical surface and may be used for maintenance.

Description
Bicycle Stand This invention relates to a maintenance stand for any kind of pedal powered bicycles When performing work on any kind of bicycle the inability to keep the bicycle stable is a very real problem this stand solves this problem by allowing the bicycle to remain stable in any position it is placed and allows you to do anything from cleaning to full strip downs or improvements with the minimum of movement Conventional stands tend to require a large amount of floor space to perform any kind work on a bicycle the tripod configuration of these tend to be unstable when working on your bicycle To overcome these problems the present invention proposes that the stand would be fixed to a solid vertical surface The stand has a locking device for the folding arm which is also extendable with a clamp which can be fastened to any part of your bicycle for access to both sides the clamp is detachable and all parts can be secured in any position with the arm and clamp having full rotation through 360 degrees

Claims (1)

  1. Claims 1 A bicycle stand which can be fastened to a solid vertical
    surface on which a bicycle can be placed in any position on the stand when clamped whose folding and extending arm can be locked in place which gives the user full access to all parts of the bicycle the clamp is also detachable so it can be placed on the bicycle and then both be lifted on to the stand 2 A bicycle stand according to claim 1 which has a folding extendable ann 3 A bicycle stand according to claim 1 which has a clamp with a full rotation of 360 degrees 4 A bicycle stand according to claim 1 with a clamp which can be clamped to any part of a bicycle frame or seat post A bicycle stand according to claim 1 which by being fastened to a vertical solid surface gives it extreme stability 6 A bicycle stand according to claim 1 in which the clamp can be removed from the stand and placed on to any awkward area of the bicycle frame and both clamp and bicycle can be lifted on to the extendable ann of the stand
