Abstract

A multi-part book for recording telephone numbers and codes. Preferably the book is roughly the size of a business card and may be carried in a wallet or pocket. The book may be mistaken for a business card and therefore has covert characteristics. The book may comprise a strip of paper folded accordion fashion held between two covers made from magnetic rubber.

THE TELECODE BOOK

BACKGROUND

The invention serves the needs of people that require immediate access to telephone numbers and for codes. The product is covert, available at your fingertips and inexpensive.

STATEMENT OF INVENTION

This product overcomes the need to rely on electronic devices such as mobile phones and palms that are reliant on power and are susceptible to theft. It is a flexible "card" type product that measures 2mm thick, 60 mm wide and 80mm long. It has the capacity to hold a minimum of 80 names and numbers on accordion folded paper. The paper is glued on the inside of two pieces of magnetic rubber.

ADVANTAGES

The advantages of this product is primarily three fold; -it fits into any man's wallet and/or woman's purse -it looks like a good quality business card and it will blend in (become covert) when with other business cards -it is inexpensive.

An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings: -the top two figures show the top and bottom of the Telecode Book -the bottom figure shows the complete unit including the folding papers.

Please note the sketch only shows three folds where the actual product has five folds.

DETAILED DISCRIPTION

The Telecode Book consists of three separate pieces that when connected Becomes an indispensable part of today's lifestyle.

PART #1

TOP COVER

This consists of a piece of magnetic rubber. The measurements are 1mm thick, 60 mm wide and 80 mm long. An emblem or business information can be placed on the top of this cover.

PART #2

BOTTOM COVER

Is identical to Part #1.

PART #3

THE INSERT

The insert is a piece of good quality paper, 70 mm wide and 300 mm long. It's folded into six equal segments of 50 mm by 70 mm. The folding is to be done in an accordion style. The insert is printed on both sides.

When laying out the insert, the first 50 mm of the 300 mm length will have the word, IDENTIFICATION typed in the top centre. There will be three lines evenly spaced indicating NAME, TELEPHONE and MOBILE.

At the top of the second 50 mm section (of the 300 mm length) NAME AND ADDRESS (leave 10 mm space) PHONE will be typed. There will be a 10 mm space between the caption line (NAME) and the first blank line and 5 mm between each subsequent line for the balance of the 300 mm length. There will also be a 5 mm margin around the sheet.

On the reverse of this sheet the first and last 50 mm segments are left blank. At the top of the second 50 mm segment (leave 10 mm) then type NAME, (leave 20 mm) then type CODE. There will be a further 10 mm left before the margin. There will be a 10 mm space between the caption line (NAME) and the first blank line and 5 mm between each subsequent line for the balance of the sheet. There will also be a 5mm margin around the sheet.

The blank 50 mm by 70 mm segment at one end of the 300 mm sheet is attached by an adhesive to the top piece of the magnetic rubber strip making sure there a margin exactly a 5 mm wide on the magnetic strip.

The blank 50 mm by 70 mm segment at the other end of the 300 mm sheet is to be attached by an adhesive to the bottom piece of the magnetic rubber strip, again making sure there is a margin exactly 5mm wide on the magnetic strip.

When the Telecode Book is complete the pages will fold out like an accordion when the book is opened. On one side of the page you will see spaces for name, phone, mobile for the book owner and spaces for names, address's and phone numbers. On the other side of the sheet there will be spaces for names and codes. There are enough spaces for a minimum of names and numbers.

When the Telecode Book is folded together the magnetic top and bottom of the booklet will hold it together. The total measurement of the book is approximately 2mm by 60 mm by 80 mm, the size of a thick good quality business card.
