Pivoted handles. - The handle C of a floor-cleaning appliance is secured by a cross-pin C<3> to projecting lugs C<2> on a bracket on a brushstock and may be retained in one or other of two positions, relative to the brush, by means of a boss C<1> on the handle, the boss being rotatably mounted on the pin C<3> and being provided with notches c for engagement with a spring-pressed pin C'.
