Abstract

A type of security system using one or more cameras and a motion detector such as a PIR. The cameras are capable of sending pictures to a remote location, such as a monitoring centre or a mobile telephone. Alerts using text messages may also be sent. An alarm can be controlled from a remote location by mobile telephone or computer or other device.

Description

I

I

NEW DESIGN 3 1. A security system comprising a camera I cameras and alarm system with the camera I cameras possibly built into the doors of a property, inside the property or set around property the cameras being Linked wireless / mains and capable of sending picture information to a mobile phone or computer and or other remote device, or even a call centre to monitor this function for you.

2 A security system that can be activated both by a Pifi detector working in the same manner as a security light coming on when someone comes within range of the cameras and can be set to work by this method or by instant access to the camera from your phone at any time. The reason you may want to do this is to double check to see whether a ringing alarm is genuine or false you would be alerted by a separate text that alarm the alarm is ringing. The alarm can then be switched off and reset.

The motion detection could also be set within a set parameter or range, it would also have the capability to have a light fitted in the cameras or camera that could work by Passive Infa Red or be set on a timer for night use. The cameras could also have infa red built in for working at night.

3 A security system that would have a normal alarm system that would function as a normal alarm but with an important difference being it can also use

I

bluetooth or similar application built into the alarm to activate a number of functions at the property. The remote location for example being you are at work getting an alert from your mobile that someone is at the back of the property about to break in you can then set off your house alarm before he does any damage then reset it when he runs off.

4. The alarm system could also send a text message that the alarm is ringing and this text could work completely independent of the cameras. The point of this is to act like a separate back up should the cameras not function properly. The text could also go to your computer or to the mobile phone or computer of friends and family or even a call centre to monitor the situation for you.

5. The advantage here Is that if the cameras fail to pick up any motion from an intruder but are working fine, and you receive a separate text that the alarm is ringing it is still possible via the bluetooth or other similar application to stop the alarm altogether or even reset it as the situation requires until you have a chance to have the alarm system professionally tested and or repaired.

6. There are many advantages for such a system you could even set off your house alarm while at work if a person is frying to break into your garden shed a motion camera picks up someone on your property but not at the house from a camera set around the property it would scare them off and then you could reset the alarm system with the police often being busy and sometimes slow to respond it may save a lot time and inconvenience just to set off your alarm to put off the intruder.

7. There is also the advantage of not having to pay the new fine introduced by the government for a false house alarm that is ringing for twenty minutes or more. It may be that either you are unaware or you are so far away that it would take much longer than the time limit of twenty minutes to make it back to the property and turn off the alarm system. The obvious advantage being one of the cameras could let you know if it was a real threat thus allowing you to turn off the alarm and reset it

Claims (1)

  1.
CLAIMS NEW DESIGN 3 1. A security system comprising a camera or cameras
and alarm system with the camera capable of sending picture information to a mobile phone computer or call centre or other remote device A system that would use prior art type cctv camera or cameras and also use PIR motion detector or detectors linked to the camera and also linked to a power supply either mains or wireless A system that could be used in or outside around any property including vehicles.

2. A system that would also have blue tooth or other similar application to control the system from a remote location such as a call centre or mobile phone 3. A system that would also use a prior art burglar ringing alarm and this could be triggered or controlled by bluetooth or similar application.

4. A system that could also use text messaging as a part of the system or a back up should the camera or cameras fail or other because of other problems 5. A system that would provide important early warnings of property or vehicle under threat.

6. A system that would have the capability to work outside in outside conditions.

7. A system that would use a control box depending on the type of alarm received and the response needed..

8. A system that would have the capability to use a timer or switch linked to it for set responses.
