Abstract

Interchangeable heels for footwear that allows the wearer to inter-change heels of different colours, height or style, to suit the wearer's taste and requirements. The heel may be attached to the bottom of the footwear via interlocking fasteners e.g. a bayonet joint, whereby a T-shaped protrusion on the heel engages with an aperture on the underside of the footwear, where the heel is retained in position by rotating the heel through 90 degrees. The heel may also have a sprung locking post b that will engage with a hole c on the underside of the footwear once the heel is rotated 90 degrees thereby locking the heel in position. To release the heel a release button (d, Fig 3) on the underside of the footwear will release the sprung locking post b from the hole c when the button is depressed, thereby allowing the heel to be rotated and removed from the footwear. The heels may be made from metal, plastic, wood or leather.

Description

<p>An interchangeable heel for women's shoe offering varying lengths, heights and styles.</p>

<p>The problem it solves is that particular model of shoe the heel is only available in a particular height or style which is not suitable to all The objective is to offer an interchangeable heel to suit the user's tastes and requirements.</p>

<p>Accordingly the invention provides a selection of interchangeable heel attached by means of a rotating cam and corresponding aperture on the show and locked by means of a spring loaded detent.</p>

Furthermore locking post (b) will when cam (a) is fully engaged lock into the detent (c) at this point the heel is securely attached.</p>
