Abstract

243,634. Rogler, T. Feb. 23, 1925, [Convention date]. Hair curling and waving appliances.-To maintain a supply of moist vapours to the hair during curling or waving, a moistened wick 3 is inserted in the central hollow space of the corrugated member 1, Figs. 1 and 2, the said space being closed by a cover-plate 2 and holes 4 being provided in the member 1. The material 3 is moistioned by immersion in water or a supplyvessel 8 having a regulating-screw 9 and valve 10 may be provided, while an additional plate 6 may be welded to the central rib to form a space 7. In a modification, the corrugated member 12, Fig. 3, perforated at 15, is provided with a complete cover 13 enclosing the filling 14; and in a further modification, the prongs are made hollow and perforated and are provided with the moistened filling.
