Abstract
A band made of a coloured durable material, and with a releasable fastening, which may be attached to the leg of an animal. The bands, which may be made of nylon, and with a hook and loop fastening, may be used to identify the behavioural characteristics of a dog. Each separate colour would represent a particular temperament, passers by therefore being able to recognise dangerous animals from a distance. The bands may be made of differing sizes to fit various animals.

<p>The invention relates to canine/human confrontations that occur every year.</p>
<p>Whilst walking their dogs many dog owners face the worrying situation of canine confrontations, as it is hard to know what the temperament of other dogs is. Confusion can often be created when a dog is wearing a muzzle for purposes other then to stop it biting.We have developed a scheme which would enable people and dog owners to easily identify the temperament of a strange dog.</p>
<p>The invention consists of a small nylon colour coded band with a Velcro fastening strip with the words trust band on them that are placed on the dog's leg and / or either the dogs lead. Each colour represents a certain behavioural characteristic which people will be able to identify. This invention could prevent many dangerous canine confrontations from happening and also could prevent many children from being bitten.</p>
<p>The trust bands would consist of three colours RED -AMBER -GREEN Red would mean that the dog wearing the trust band does not like humans or other dogs Amber would mean that the dog wearing the trust band likes humans but not other dogs Green would mean that the dog wearing the trust band likes humans and other dogs The trust bands will be made of a highly colourful material so that they can be seen from a distance.</p>
<p>The trust bands would be available in three sizes SMALL -MEDIUM -LARGE The trust bands for use to connect to the dogs lead would be available in the same sizes</p>
Claims (1)
- <p>CLAIMS</p><p>I. A trust band available in three colours made from a durable nylon material or other suitable materials each trust band will represent a certain behavioural characteristic of a dog which people and dog owners will be able to identify.</p><p>2. The protection of the scheme to which the trust bands relate to as in order for it to be effective it would have to be promoted to amongst the general public and dog owners.</p><p>3. There would be two trust bands available one, which fastens to a dog's leg, and one that fastens to a dogs lead.</p><p>4. The name trust bands is a unique name given to this product because of what it represents.</p>
