Casting-apparatus; casting celluloid. - Apparatus for melting celluloid, casein, &c. for casting under pressure comprises a vessel 2 for the material 4, which is forced by a plunger 8 through a vertical or horizontal nozzle 6 fitted with a clasing-valve 7, and a lead, glycerine, &c. bath 1 surrounding the vessel 2 and heated by a burner 5. Preferably the material 3 in the bath 1 extends only about the lower part of the vessel 2.
