Abstract

A vehicle windscreen clearing device comprises a main body (1) having an inlet (2) and a plurality of jets. When installed at the base of a vehicle's windscreen, compressed air enters the main body (1) via the inlet (2) and then exits via the jets (3) which are positioned, in use, to clear water from a vehicle windscreen.

Description

<p>1 2433874 Power Screen This invention relates to a device that is
designed to eliminate the need for windscreen wipers currently used on cars, trains, some boats and planes.</p>
<p>Unlike windscreen wipers, there are no moving parts to this invention.</p>
<p>The present invention (titled: Power Screen) , utilizes compressed air from the engine of the vehicle to which the invention is attached; fitted at the base of the vehicles windscreen.</p>
<p>The compressed air passes through the invention under such pressure that on exit creates a resulting force of air across the windscreen that prevents any water ( ie rain) from settling on the windscreen.</p>
<p>This gives a clear view through the windscreen without the need for "wiper blades".</p>
<p>An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings:-Figure 1 shows the complete invention.</p>
<p>Figure 2 shows an enlarged image of one of the smaller parts of the invention.</p>
<p>The invention is designed to be fitted at the base of a vehicles windscreen by meens of fixing plates 4.</p>
<p>The invention utilizes compressed air, as mentioned above, which enters the main section of the invention 1, via an inlet 2. The compressed air then exits via a number of small "jets" 3, positioned along the main section 1, allowing the flow of compressed air to cross the vehicles windscreen.</p>

Claims (1)

  1. <p>Claims 1. A device to be fitted at the base of a vehicles windscreen,
    utilizing compressed air supplied from the vehicle to which the device is fitted.</p>
    <p>2. A device according to claim I, in which the compressed air enters the device through an inlet and is allowed to exit via a number of small "jets".</p>
    <p>3. A device according to any of the preceeding claims, on which at least two fixing plates are attached to allow the device to be fitted to a vehicle.</p>
