Abstract
This invention is a device to enable a person to trim wallpaper Quickly and neatly the device comprises three components 1 the angle that fits against the wall and ceiling 6 the vessel that fits into the angle and slides along it 13 the bladeholder that rides in the vessel pressure is put on the bladeholder and the vessel is pulled along enabling the paper to be cut quickly and neatly at the moment the paper has to he marked then cut with this invention the paper is held in place and cut in one movement.
Description
Device for trimming paper This invention is a device to make trimming
wallpaper quick and easy.
The way it is done at the moment is to mark the paper along the ceiling line or skirting line or down the right angle of a corner the paper is then marked before being pulled back and cut with scissors.
With this invention the device is held in the angle of the wall and ceiling or skirting and wall pressure is then applied on the handle which is pulled along the track enabling the paper to be cut quickly and neatly.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows a device that cuts wallpaper, Figure 2 shows an angle length of plastic called a track, Figure 3 shows the track with a device that slides along the track called the sledge, Figure 4 shows the device called the sledge with the end panel and the fastener, Figure 5 shows the device called the bladeholder which is in two halves ( a, & b) with the handle, Figure 6 shows the device called the bladeholder with the two halves together and the handle clamped on.

TRACK Right angle length of plastic 30cm long x 3cm c 3cm wide x 2mm thick moulded into this is ( 2) grip ( 3) channel (4) stop ( 5) gap ( 6) sledge slides along (1) track.
2. GRIP Handle moulded in at one end of( 1) track to hold (1) track in position while cuttIng paper.
3. CHANNEL U shape channel runs length of( 1) track on both inner sides acting as a guide for (6) sledge.
4. STOP Small piece of plastic at the end of both (3) channel stops (6) sledge coming out.
5. GAP Runs down centre of( 1) track stops 2cm from each end wide enough for (20) blade to move along.
6. SLEJ)GE Right angle shaped vessel cm long x 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 2mm thick slides along the (I)trackguidedbythe(3)channel ithousesthe( 13a&b)bladeholderand consistsof(7)spring(8)blocks (9)guide(lO)fastener(1l)slOt (12)end,paneL 7. SPRINGS Push ( 13a & b) bladeholder up, the( 20) blade goes inside the (6) sledge into safe position when pressure is put on ( 13a & b) bladehokler (20) blade goes through ( 5) gap ready to cut paper the pressure on (7) springs pushes the (6) sledge against sides of( 1) track and holds paper firmly in position the ( 7) springs are 5mm diameter x 10mm long.
8. BLOCKS 2 right angle lengths of plastic moulded to side of( 6) sledge these are 15mm long x 6mm x 6mm wide with holes for (7) springs to sit on each side of (6) sledge ( I 3a & b) bladehokier sits between them.
9. GUIDE Keeps ( 13a & b) bladeholder upright and acts as a stop against the (16) base stops the front of( 13) bladeholder being pushed out by ( 7) springs.
10. FASTENER A slot in (12) end panel of( 6) sledge let (10) fastener slide back and forth and has two legs and two feet pointing out 20mm long x 3mm wide x 2mm thick when pushed in they go each side of( 13a & b) bladeholder and above the (16)base this stops (13a & b) bladeholder moving at the back the two feet stop the (10) fastener coming out of( 12) end panel.
11. SLOT Gap down centre of (6) sledge wide enough for (20) blade to go through.
12. END PANEL On (6) sledge there is a slot 15mm long x 2mm wide (10) fastener slides through this.
13. BLADEFIOLDERA&B These are made of plastic and are in two halves each approx 6cm long x 4cm high x 2mm thick one half( 13a)hasthe( 16)base moulded onto it the other half( 13b)is tapered at the bottom edge it wedges in to (16) base and keeps two halves interlocked together the (14) ridges stop any upward movement the (19) handle holds the two together (1 3a & b) bladeholder houses (20) blade in a (15) mould the ( 13a & b) bladeholder sits in the (6) sledge.
14. RIDGES Two strips of plastic 6cm long x 6mm wide x 2 mm thick moulded to each side of (13a & b) bladeholder when two halves are pushed together they interlock stopping any upward movement.
15. MOULDING On (13 a) bladeholder which is in the shape of the ( 20) blade this is a recess where the (20) blade sits at a 70 degree angle on the other half( I 3b) bladeholder is a (15) moulding the shape of the (20) blade which stands proud of the surface so that when the two halves are pushed together the two shapes fit into each other and hold (20) blade in place.
16. BASE Two right angles that are moulded to the side of the (13*) bladeholder that houses the (20) blade the (16) base at the front end is 7mm long x 8mm x 8mm wide x 2mm thick the ( 13a & b) bladeholder will lift at the front pushed up by the ( 7) springs the (16) base will stop at the (9) guide the (16) base at the back end is 20mm long x 10mm x 10mm wide x 2mm thick the (10) fastener stops this end from moving when the two halves of( 13) bladeholder are put together the (13 b) bladeholder with the tapered edge wedges into the (16) base the angle stops any outward movement and the (14) ridges any upward movement.
17. LEDGE Strip of plastic 25mm long x 5mm wide x 2mm thick moulded on each side of( 13) bladeholder position so they press down on ( 7) spring.
18. LIP Strips of plastic 6cm long x 4mm wide x 2mm thick guide for (19) handle to slide along nioulded at the top of( 13a & b) bladeholder each side and inside (19) handle 19. HANDLE U shaped handle slides along (18) lip and clamps two halves of( 13a & b) bladeholder together.
20. BLADE Trimming blade.
