Abstract

An elevated track 1 is provided from which objects are suspended to give the illusion of flight. Cars (1, Fig. 2) run around an electrified circuit provided on the track. Attached to the underside of each car is a hinged rod 3 with an object 4 attached at the bottom of the rod. As the car is powered around the track the suspended object races beneath the track using its own momentum to swing out around the bends. Objects may be placed below the track which the suspended objects must dodge or weave around. Players control a trigger or switch 6 to vary the speed of their object.

Description

Electric flying game This invention relates to a fun and fast racing game
where suspended objects are raced through the air in an advanced system to the tradition of slot car racing.
The invention allows objects to be flown in a safe environment suspended from tracks.
Preferably, skill will be used to manoeuvre the objects around artefacts that may be placed on the ground as obstacles or purely for decoration.
Preferably, the game will run off mains electricity or battery power.
Preferably, one suspended object might be lower than the other to enable the width of each object to be greater.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 shows the game as it maybe setup for playing. The track layout is only an example, as many different configurations would be available.
Figure 2 shows the side plan, cross-section of the game.
Figure 3 shows a front plan, cross-section of the game Figure 1 shows various sections of track laid out and connected together to form a circuit (1), of which many configurations would be possible. The track is then raised into the air using a form of stand/s (2).
Inside the track are cars, one relating to each slot in the track.
Suspended from the cars through each slot (3) are hinged rods connecting to an object underneath (4).
The track is powered electrically (5) in a similar way to the tradition of slot cars.
Each player controls a trigger/switch to vary the speed of their object (6).
The con tact of the car on the electrified metal tracks allows the car to move around the circuit when activated.
Figure 2 shows the car moving through the circuit (1) as the object/s fly suspended beneath (2).
Figure 3 shows a drawing of figure 2 from the front. As the controller is activated, the car moves around the circuit. As it turns the corners, the hinged rod/s (I) allow the suspended object to swing in and out using its own momentum (2).
An alternative for the above could see the cars running on electrified rails to produce the same effect.

Claims (4)

  1. Claims 1. An electrified flying game where suspended objects move around a
circuit to give the illusion of flight.
  2. 2. An electrified flying game according to claim 1, where a series of connecting tracks/rails allow an electrified object to be run around a circuit whilst suspending an object below.
  3. 3. A device according to any of the previous claims, that allows suspended objects to be raced beneath a circuit.
  4. 4. A device according to any of the previous claims, that allows suspended objects to be raced beneath a circuit, dodging and weaving around objects place below.
