Abstract

A pocket flashlight holder includes a component to be gripped in the mouth. The holder may include a reflective surface which reflects the beam of light from the pocket flashlight into to the operator's field of vision, where the flashlight is held in an upright position.

Description

PATENT TITLE: FLASHLIGHT HOLDER ATTACHMENT
BACKGROUND
This invention relates to the manipulation of the light from a pocket flashlight.
When working in the dark, using both hands, a third hand is required to hold and direct a pocket flashlight.
STATEMEN'F OF ff4 VENTION To overcome the need of a third hand to hold a pocket flashlight while carrying out a task in the dark, this present invention proposes an attachment which enables the operator to hold the flashlight in their mouth. The attachment will have a reflective surface which reflects the beam of light from the flashlight into the operators field of vision.
ADVANTAGES
The holding of the flashlight in the operator's mouth leaves the operators hands free to carry out the task under illumination. Preferably the attachment will hold the flashlight ensuring no flashlight components enter the operator's mouth. Preferably the attachment will deflect the beam of light from the flashlight into the operator's field of vision. Preferably the flashlight will be held in an upright position, ie the length of the flashlight being parallel to the operator's face, reducing the force required by the operator to support the flashlight in their mouth.
INTRODUCTION TO DRAWINGS
An example of the invention will now be described bry referring to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 Show a typical pocket flashlight I Figure 2 Shows the beam of light 2 from a pocket flashlight 1 reflected by the attachment 7 into the persons required field of vision 4.Thc attachment 6 is held in the person's 3 mouth in an upright position by a component 5,attached to the mouth grip 6.
Figure 3 Shows an attachment 5 including a means of reflecting 7 a flashlight's beam of light and mouth grip 6 according to the invention Figure 4 Shows an exploded view of the attachment 5 including a means of reflecting a flashlight's beam of light 7 and a mouth grip 6 according to the invention Figure 5 Shows an attachment 5, which may have an adjustable reflector position 8, including a means of reflecting the flashlights beam of light 7, and a mouth grip 6 according to the invention.

Claims (5)

DETAILED DESCRIPTION A ring 5 grips the pocket flashlight I is attached to a mouth grip 6.The attachment contains a reflective surface 7 which deflects the light 2 into the operator's field of vision 4.The mouth grip 6 is attached to the holder 5 such as to hold the flashlight in an upright position, figure 2. The reflective surface 7 maybe adjustable 8 to suit the operators field of vision, figure 5. Figure 2,3,4,and 5 to accompany description CLAIMS This invention rel4tes to a device for holding a pocket flashlight in a person's mouth.
1. A pocket flashlight holding unit comprising an attachment means in conjunction with a grip that a person may hold in their mouth.
2. A pocket flashlight holding attachment according to claim I in which the flashlight is held in an upright position.
3. A pocket flashlight holding attachment according to claim 1, in which the parts of the flashlight do not enter the operator's mouth.
4. A pocket flashlight holding attachment according to claim I, in which the attachment includes a reflective surface to reflect the light from the pocket flashlight into the persons required field of vision.
5. A pocket flashlight holding attachment according to claim 1, in which the attachment maybe removed from the flashlight.
