Abstract

A closure and container arrangement, the container comprises projections or flanges cast onto the outside of the container and the closure comprises straps that snap-fit with the projections or flanges. The straps maybe removed by lifting them upwards and away from the flanges. The flanges may be cast onto the outside of the container, the different number of flanges may be used depending on the different pressures required to be contained within the container.

DESCRIPTION
This invention creates a sophisticated alternative to the present packaging of both still and sparkling beverages in bottles and cans.
The beverage can be directly packed into the drinks container and immediately consumed, eliminating decanting into a secondary container. The drink container, unlike bottle or can, is designed with similar proportions as existing drinks glasses and is made from plastic, glass or metal. Expert designers can create attractive shapes good enough to collect and use domestically. These will have the registered trade mark name "Collecteble".
To achieve this the method has two elements. First the closure is an original "snap-strap" closure made from plastic or other suitable material with a built-in top seal which is applied downwards into the top of the container and locked onto flanges cast onto the outside of the container. The closure is removed by pulling any strap upwards, and which may be strapped back in place at any time.Some containers may need part of the inside wall thickened to contain pressure but so designed to have a smooth outside appearance.
The advantages of this packaging method, called the snap-strap collectible method, are logical and considerable. The consumer does not have to decant a drink, the drinks manufacturer has many opportunities for producing sophisticated marketing such as using expert glass designers for the collectibles so that the consumer can collect expensive looking designs at no extra cost.
The method will bring other major benefits to users such as public houses, hotels, airlines, cruise ships, restaurants, bars, clubs, schools, picnics, saving much cost, time and space anywhere glasses at present have to be provided and drinks decanted.
TITLE
The "Collecteble"snap-strap method for packing both still and sparkling drinks, using a " snap-strap" closure, so designed to be
collectable.
("Collecteble" is so spelt to become a registered trade mark) This method permits drinks to be directly packaged into the drinking container, thereby eliminating decanting.
