Abstract

Stiffeners. - A heelsupporting device of the kind comprising a flat plate to support the waist, a rearward extension to enter a recess between the heel and the sole, and a heelbreast abutment, is formed as a solid block, for example by a hot stamping process. The flat portion 1 of oval shape is secured to the waist of the sole by a screw 5, and has a rearward extension 7 which supports the part of the sole above the heel. The integral abutment 2 is cut away for lightness.
