Abstract

A pipe clamp comprising two sections joined together by a hinge 3, both sections having a semi-circular clamping point 2 to make contact with the pipe to be clamped. The sections both contain a recess (1, fig.1) to allow a standard lockable clamp to be used with the pipe clamp.

PIPE CLAMP TO BE USED WITH
STANDARD LOCKABLE CLAMP
THIS INVENTION RELATES TO
CLAMPS FOR RUBBER PIPES
Being able to clamp a rubber pipe temporarily has good advantages for the user. They will not have to drain any system whilst working and can isolate problems in any system by using clamps.
There are known examples of pipe clamps but these can only be used for clamping pipes. By using the pipe clamp shown and described, ordinary lockable clamps can be changed into pipe clamps, and also be removed after use for the ordinary lockable clamps to be used for other purposes.

Claims (1)

  1. A pipe clamp to be used with a standard lockable clamp comprising: A clamp consisting of hard plastic or polyurethane material or metal that 1 Is designed to be inserted onto or used with a standard lockable clamp by using a recess on both sides (top and bottom) of the invention - Figure 1 - Number 1 and Figure one 'A' Number 6 2 A clamp consisting of a half round clamping point on both top and bottom of the clamp Figure 2 - Number 2 3 A clamp consisting of a means of joining the two halves of the clamp together and being flexible enough to swivel as the clamp is used Figure 2 - Number 3 4 A clamp consisting of a means of Joining the two halves of the clamp together by a hinge Figure 4 - Number 4 A clamp consisting of either a smooth section of half round clamping point or a grooved or serrated half round clamping point.
