Abstract
241,549. Wins, L. Oct. 14, 1924, [Convention date]. Protections, securing.- A detachable heel member of the type described in Specification 180,345 is now extended to as to cover the whole heel tread. Vertical holes f, Fig. 3, are made through a heel pad e and provided with embedded parallel spring arms g to engage rims or studs b, Fig. 1, with grooved necks d and rounded heads on the permanent heel. In a modification, the parallel arms g are joined together to form a U, Fig. 7, and may have prongs m<1> to engage in leather lifts in the permanent part of a heel suitably slotted to engage corresponding grooved pins on a detachable heel member.
