CHAIR ASSEMBLY
The present invention relates to a chair assembly, and more particularly to a chair assembly that is foldable with detachable parts, thereby facilitating package, storage and transportation of the chair assembly.
A conventional chair, such a sofa or the like, comprises a seat, a backrest, and two armrests. However, the two armrests are fixed on the seat, so that the conventional chair has a fixed size and cannot be adjusted to fit statures of different users, thereby limiting the versatility of the conventional chair.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a chair assembly that is foldable with detachable parts, thereby facilitating package, storage and transportation of the chair assembly.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a chair assembly, wherein each of the fastening members mounted on the seat is combined with the respective fastening member mounted on each of the two armrests in an inverted connection manner, so that each of the two armrests is combined with the seat rigidly and stably to form the chair assembly.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide a chair assembly, wherein the fastening members are combined with each other in an inverted connection manner, so that a plurality of chair assemblies are combined with each other by combination of the fastening members so as to forth a chair with multiple seats, thereby enhancing the versatility of the chair assembly.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide a chair assembly, wherein the seat, the backrest and the two armrests are detachable from each other, so that the chair assembly is made foldable, thereby facilitating package, storage and transportation of the chair assembly.
In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a chair assembly, comprising a seat, a backrest, two armrests, and a plurality of fastening members, wherein: the fastening members are mounted on two sides of the seat and are mounted on a side of each of the two armrests; 0 the fastening members are combined with each other in an inverted I connection manner.
Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
In the drawings: Fig. I is a perspective view of a chair assembly in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a partially enlarged perspective view of a fastening member of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 2; Fig. 4 is a partially perspective assembly view of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 1; Fig. S is a partially perspective assembly view of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 1; Fig. 6 is a partially perspective assembly view of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 1; Fig. 7 is a partially perspective assembly view of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 1; Fig. 8 is a partially exploded perspective view of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 1; and Fig. 9 is a partially enlarged perspective view of a backrest of the chair assembly as shown in Fig. 8.
Referring to the drawings and initially to Figs. 1-3, a chair assembly in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a seat 30, a backrest 40, two armrests 50, and a plurality of fastening members 1 O. The fastening members 10 are mounted on two sides of the seat 30 and are mounted on a side of each of the two armrests 50.
As shown in Fig. 3, each of the fastening members 10 is made of a bent plate having an arch shape. Each of the fastening members 10 has two ends each formed with a flat wing plate 12. The wing plate 12 of each of the fastening members 10 is formed with a through hole 121. Each of the fastening members lO has a mediate portion formed with an insertion plate 11. The insertion plate 11 of each of the fastening members 10 has two sides each formed with a insertion recess 13 located between the insertion plate 11 and the respective wing plate 12. Each of the two sides of the insertion plate l l of each of the fastening members lO is formed with an oblique connection 16 connected to the respective wing plate l 2.
In assembly, each ofthe fastening members 10 is mounted on the seat and each of the two armrests SO by a plurality of locking screws 14 each extended through the through hole 121 of the respective wing plate 12 of each lO of the fastening members 10 and each screwed into the seat 30 and each of the two armrests 50. In addition, each ofthe fastening members 10 mounted on the seat 30 is inverted relative to the respective fastening member 10 mounted on each of the two armrests 50 as shown in Fig. 2. Thus, each of the fastening members l 0 mounted on the seat 30 is combined with the respective fastening member l 0 mounted on each of the two armrests SO in an inverted connection manner, so that each ofthe two armrests 50 is combined with the seat 30 rigidly and stably as shown in Fig. 1.
As shown in Fig. 4, the two armrests 50 are removed from the seat 30, so that the seat 30 exists individually.
As shown in Fig. 5, two chair assemblies are combined with each other to form a two-seat chair.
As shown in Fig. 6, two chair assemblies are combined with each other to form a two-seat chair with a single armrest 50.
As shown in Fig. 7, three chair assemblies are combined with each other to form a three-seat chair with two armrests 50.
Referring to Figs. 8 and 9, the seat 30 has an end provided with two opposite insertion plates 20 each inserted into a bottom of the backrest 40, so that the backrest 40 is fixed on the seat 30. Preferably, each ofthe two insertion plates 20 of the seat 30 is formed with a plurality of screw bores 21, and the chair assembly further comprises two locking bolts 41 each extended through a 0 side of the backrest 40 and each screwed into either one of the screw bores 21 of a respective one of the two insertion plates 20 of the seat 30, so that the backrest 40 is adjustably fixed on the seat 30. In addition, the bottom of the backrest 40 is formed with two opposite insertion grooves 42, and each of the two insertion plates 20 ofthe seat 30 is inserted into a respective one ofthe two opposite insertion grooves 42 of the backrest 40.
Accordingly, each of the fastening members 10 mounted on the seat is combined with the respective fastening member 10 mounted on each of the two armrests 50 in an inverted connection manner, so that each of the two armrests SO is combined with the seat 30 rigidly and stably to form the chair assembly. In addition, the fastening members 10 are combined with each other in an inverted connection manner, so that a plurality of chair assemblies are combined with each other by combination of the fastening members 10 so as to form a chair with multiple seats, thereby enhancing the versatility of the chair assembly. Further, the seat 30, the backrest 40 and the two armrests 50 are detachable from each other, so that the chair assembly is made foldable, thereby facilitating package, storage and transportation of the chair assembly.
s Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the l o true scope of the invention.
