Abstract
A cricket training mat comprises a mat with lines and areas defined in various colours. The mat guides a left or right handed player as to the appropriate stance and position in which to make the required shot.
Description
241 1 598 Cricket Coaching Mat.
Description.
Six colours are used in the mat design. These are, black, white, yellow, blue, light green, dark green The mat which is 11 yards long, and six feet wide, should be made of any material which can replicate the normal playing characteristics of a cricket pitch within parameters, given that the mat will be laid on a hard surface, such as a sports hall floor or tarmac type playground. The mat should be durable. The mat is divided into equal sized quarters by white lines, which run vertically and horizontally. If we imagine we are standing at one end of He mat, two of the sections [urtl.est away from us are predominantly light green in colour, apart from the two geometrically opposed shapes, one in blue and one in yellow, which mirror each other. A different geometric and mirrored shape appears on the two sections of the mat, which are nearest to us as we look at it, again in blue, and yellow, but this time on a background of darker coloured green.
Where the white line divides the mat in two horizontally as we look at it, are two ovular shapes in black.
