Abstract

A monitoring device measures temperature, humidity and air pressure both inside and outside a building. The monitor comprises an internal unit and an external unit, each unit containing each unit containing a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor and air pressure sensor. The two units are connected via a cable. An LCD display is provided on the internal unit for displaying the measured readings.

Description
The invention relates to a house monitoring device of the type which includes a temperature sensor, humidity sensor, air pressure sensor and recording capabilities.
the monitor can be mounted anywhere inside the property but a small hole is required for the cable to be sent to the outside monitor which needs to be mounted on the outside of the property.
There are monitors on the market the capable of taking temperature and humidity readings but these in general only taking internal readings some may take external temperature readings but don't have the capability of taking additional readings The other devices on the market also do not records the readings they take both for general observation only The house monitor is designed to monitor interior and exterior temperature, humidity and air pressure electronically, this information can be displayed on the LCD display shown in figure one. The exterior unit will be connected to the interior unit via a cable, the exterior unit will have no display or visible readers. The interior unit will have a LCD display which will show all readings, temperature, humidity, and air pressure via a select button The LCD display will not be permanently on but will have a manual power switch The unit will be powered by battery or mains via a transformer. The exterior unit will get his power from the internal unit via the cable the device can be made of either metal or plastic a combination of the two would produce a more robust unit Figure I shows both the internal unit and external unit as seen from the front.

Claims (5)

  1. Claims I) A monitor including internal unit with LCD display and three
    sensors and an external unit with three sensors before much drink temperature, humidity, and air pressure.
    2) A monitor as in claim one where the interior unit records all readings 3) A monitor as in claim one and two where the exterior unit is connected to the interior unit via cable and the exterior unit receives power by this cable The exterior readings are sent via the cable to the interior unit 4) A monitor as claimed in any preceding claims which is made from wood, plastic or metal or a combination of these materials 5) A monitor substantially as herein described above and illustrated in the accompanying drawings House monitor Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows Claims 1) A monitor including internal unit with LCD display and three sensors and an external unit with three sensors sampling temperature, humidity, and air pressure.
  2. 2) A monitor as in claim one where the interior unit records all readings.
  3. 3) A monitor as in claim one and two where the exterior unit is connected to the interior unit via cable and the exterior unit receives power by this cable. The exterior readings are sent via the cable to the interior unit.
  4. 4) A monitor as claimed in any proceeding claims which is made from wood, plastic or metal or a combination of these materials.
  5. 5) A monitor substantially as herein described above and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
    Additional Information The House Monitor is specifically designed to monitor energy used within a building structure to compare with energy tables issued under the SAP energy ratings Government sponsored scheme.
