Description
PATENT APPLICATION- DESCRIPTION
CHARACTER AND MOTIFED SHEEPSKIN RUGS.
This invention relates to coloured sheepskin rugs, which includes using sheepskin inlays of various characters and motifs into another sheepskin rug of a contrasting colour.
Sheepskin rugs are common throughout the world. The inventors for these rugs have produced sheepskin rugs inlaid with characters and motifs The object of this invention is to provide coloured and natural rugs with inlaid characters and motifs.
This invention uses two sheepskin rugs of differing colours which includes a character of motif cut out of one rug, sewn onto backing fabric and then inlaid into another rug.
Accordingly, this invention provides a sheepskin rug that contains a sheepskin inlay of a character or motif.
The rug is made wholly of sheepskin other than the backing fabric used to support the sheepskin inlay. The colours will vary. The characters and motifs inlaid will vary and the colours used within them will vary. This application gives one such example.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIGURE I shows a front view of the whole rug.
FIGURE 2 shows two sheepskin rugs to be of different colours.
FIGURE 3 shows the teddy bear character cut out of one of the rug.
FIGURE 4 shows the teddy bear character sewn onto backing fabric.
FIGURE 5 shows the host rug that the character is to be sewn into with the hole cut out ready for the teddy sheepskin inlay.
FIGURE 6 shows the reverse view of the host rug.
As shown in Figure 1, this example shows a sheepskin teddy inlay character 1 sewn into a host sheepskin rug 2. The colours of 1 and 2 will be contrasting.
Figure 2 represents two whole sheepskin rugs of different colours 1 & 2 that are the source materials to make the whole end sheepskin rug.
Figure 3 shows the teddy bear hole 3, left in the sheepskin rug after cutting out the sheepskin teddy shape from sheepskin rug I. This will allow sheepskin rug I to be used again to receive another teddy inlay of another colour sewn into it.
Figure 4 shows the sheepskin teddy shape sewn onto backing fabric 4. This is used to sew into sheepskin rug 2.
Figure 5 shows the host sheepskin rug 2 ready to have the sheepskin teddy shape I inlay supported by backing fabric 4 into it.
Figure 6 shows the reverse view of the sheepskin rug 2, which is the sheepskin teddy inlay I sewn onto backing fabric 4 then sewn into the host rug 2.
