Abstract

A removable shell 1 for an electronics device 2 for example a mobile phone, PDA or palm held device. The shell is secured to the device, for example at the top of the mobile phone, and in the event of an attempted theft the shell detaches leaving the device safely with the owner and the shell with the thief. The shell is positioned so as not to impede the owner during normal use of the device and also to maximise the usefulness of the shell in preventing a theft taking place. The shell should be easily removed by any potential thieves. The shell may include a transparent insert to allow the owner to view the device underneath.

Description

A SECURITY SHELL
This invention relates to a easily detachable, adaptable, portable security shell. Which would be used to stop the theft ova mobile item ot'value or object. Allowing the victim to be able to keep the valuable item.
This paragraph will attempt to offer some insight into this invention that will be present before you in its possible value in foiling and preventing mobile device(s) theft. As the growth in mobile technology and items has increase as of late both in the number of users and plus the versatility. Often this has lead to the mobile technology to become quite expensive and sort after products. Because of this they are seen as an ease target for the criminal elements ot'our society. Which has allow thieves to remove or take the item(s) from people's possession with absolute ease. The most common of these being the mobile phone in which a would be criminal can catch the potential victim unawares by using the* advantage. An advantage which is commonly refer to as the element of surprise. This allowing thieves to take possession ot'a mobile phone for example. By making it possible for the advantage to be taken away from the thieves would in turn give the possible victim a chance ot'preventing the theft from taking place. Therefore this would mean that it would not be so one sided in the case of a theft that can take a matter of seconds to be performed.
Removing the advantage would be made possible by the means of' haying a removable but inexpensive shell attached to the part of a mobile device that would be understood to be exposed and a vulnerable part ot' mobile item(s).
A removable but inexpensive shell secured to the part of a mobile device which is subject to being exposed and a vulnerable part of the mobile item(s), the use of which an easily removable, adaptable, portable security shell would be used to stop the removal of the mobile object of value from the owner.
Some of the given matter on how this would be made possible have already been touch upon. But to explain more about what would be required to make a removable shell to a specified design. This being made possible by the use of a mould which would have plastic injected into the mould, a process commonly referred to as injection moulding. The removable shell would consist of a molded plastic which would in such a way allow the potentially exposed extremists to be covered. Of which is or could be considered to be open to abuse by thieves. This to stop the item of value being man handled and wrenched from a persons possession when in use by the owner or user ot' the item. Given that the are differences in design of mobile items to which the removable shell would be secured to would of course be adapted accordingly to tat ditterent mobile items. 'I'hese alterations may also include transparent plastic insert to allow the owner full use of any visual aspects ot'some mobile item, an example ot'this is mobile phones or a palm held device. 'I'his to also ensure a sleek finish fitting with the design of the product which the shell would be secured to.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompany drawing in which: Figure 1 Shows what the shell would be presented as to a given specified design Figure 2 The diagram shows how it would be fitted to allow it to be utilized Figure 3 Is a visional interpretation of the position it would seat in a ready phase Figure 4 Illustrates how it would be used or deployed to combat a theft (2) [ Once in place (as referred to in fig 1) the shell I will allow the owner of the mobile item(s) security when in use or in event of the item of value being stolen. For example if approached from be hide were the owner is unable to see any would be thieves, this would of course he a distinct disadvantage for any possible victim. The shell would in turn take the advantage away from thieves of which as already been referred to in the opening statement.

But instead the thieves would leave with a peace of plastic for their trouble. Were as the victim would be able to keep possession of the valued item.

This when exposed leading to possible repossession from other people or persons by force or by other means, what ever mobile device may be in the process of being utilized. 'I'he shell as referred lo in f ig 2 also not in anyway impede the owner. This to also hamper the thieves long enough to other wise deter or stop the thieves from taking possession of a item of value.
The point of which could be constituted as a weak or a valuable position on a mobile phone 2 (for purpose of example of a mobile device) is near the top. Were in which case the shell I would be placed on the top of the mobile phone 2 at all time as shown in fig 2. The I exposure of the item being most apparent when the phone is in use, commonly around near the face or held in front of the user. This also in combination of having the users back turn away from any thieves wanting to take advantage of which could be one possible scenario were a theft may take place. Once the item has been placed near the face for example plus the way in which a person may handle a mobile phone near the bottom of the phone, this in due course will leave the top of the phone exposed to any thieves. When exposed the phone is open to exploitation as a means of stealing the whole of a mobile phone in a matter of seconds.
As in a phase of readiness (as envisaged in fig 3) being in which it would be place in for it to he deployed in the event of a possible theft. In order for the shell 1 to be effective in I stopping a theft from taking place it would be place in such a way to maximizes the use of the shell. 'I'his being in only allowing the thieves to be foiled into only getting access to the plastic shell 1, not the mobile item of which it would be secured to. Having it secured to the I item in such a way to allow the shell 1 to be removed with ease by any would be thieves, also for the owner to have full access to make use of the item of value 2. faking these points into consideration means that the shell is designed allowing for both purposes in functionality and effectiveness as would be required.
By what is illustrated in fig 4 which shows how the plastic security shell 1 would be positioned in such a way for the purpose of it being used. Also allowing for it to be removed in such a way from the item of value 2 to only let the thieves gain possession of the shell 1 and not the item which the shell would be secured onto as referred in fig 4. This in. - ' successfully a baiting the thieves from stealing the item of which the shell 1 is being used in protecting a given mobile device from being stolen. Claims (7)

1 This invention relates to a removable but inexpensive shell secured to the part of a mobile device which is subject to being exposed and a vulnerable part of the mobile item(s), the use of which an easily removable, adaptable, portable security shell would be used to stop the removal of the mobile object of value from the owner.
2 For the given shell as claimed in Claim I to be effective it would be fitted in such a way to allow the owner use of any mobile devices which has or is to give rise to a potential theft, what ever mobile device may be in the process of being utilized, the shell also not in anyway impede the owner.
3 Once in place the shell as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 will allow the owner of the mobile item(s) security when in use or in the event of the item of value being stolen.
4 In order for the shell as claimed in Claim 2 or Claim 3 to be effective in stopping a theft taking place it would be place in such away maximizes the use of the shell, This being in only allowing the thieves to be foiled into only getting access to the plastic shell, not the mobile item of which it would be secured to.
Having it secured to the item in such a way to allow the shell to be removed with ease by any would be thieves, This allowing for both purposes in functionality and effectiveness as would be required.
6 The shell may also consist of a transparent plastic insert to allow the owner full use of any visual aspects of some mobile item.
