Two-stroke-cycle engines; driving-gear; cylinders, admission ports of. - The charge is supplied to the working cylinder 2 by a pump whose cylinder 1 is integral with the working cylinder, the power and pump pistons being on the same crank shaft; a flywheel 15 is arranged between the two connecting- rods. The inlet and delivery valves 5, 7 of the pump are worked from cams 28 on the main shaft. A multi-cylinder engine may be formed by using a number of elements each comprising the power and pump cylinders as described. The delivery valve 7 of the pump is inclined as shown and forms the cylinder admission valve.
